Episode 62: Invincible Volumes 1-3

Join as as we begin our complete read-through of Invincible by Robert Kirkman, Cory Walker, Ryan Ottley, and Bill Crabtree! Once a month, we'll do an episode covering approximately a year's worth of issues of the series. Invincible went for 144 issues, so that'll probably take us to the end of the year if all goes according to schedule. In this episode, we cover issues 1-13. (These issues are contained in volumes 1, 2, and 3 if you're getting the trade paperbacks, or volume 1 of the deluxe hardcover. There are also three massive compendiums collecting the entire series. We talk about what we appreciate about Invincible as a series in general, and dive deep into what we thought about these first 13 issues. We also take some time to talk a little bit about the best (or worst) comic book fathers, the upcoming Invincible animated series set to debut on Amazon Prime, and whether our listeners would prefer to be nicknamed "Gutter Trash" or "In-Betweeners."
