Episode description

Fabian Cowdrey played for 6 seasons at Kent County Cricket Club following his Uncle, Father and Grandfather into elite cricket. Following his dream was the greatest achievement in his early life, but everything changed. As a child, Fabian’s identity was cricket allowing him to escape the strain of the playground. Deciding to leave his sporting dream at just 24, Fabian shocked the industry and left him with a major identity crisis. Now at 28, he has remodelled his life and become a successful entrepreneur (CowCorner Sport) transferring the skills of elite athletes into the business world. Fabian is also a popular spin instructor and established broadcaster featuring on the BBC and TalkSPORT radio. The former cricketer is now training as a life coach and will be fully qualified by the end of April 2021. His comeback story and his journey with mental health is poignant and unique, and I hope the vulnerability shown here can support you on your journey. He is a truly special and authentic person. @fabiankcowdrey on Instagram
