Episode description

This week we head to Pont-Saint-Esprit, France to take a look at how/why the good citizens of this town collectively went mad one summer day! It seems that on August 16, 1951, which started off like any other day, I might add, one by one the residents of this southeastern French town reported feeling ill. Shortly after that, they began having bizarre delusions. Such as the feeling of snakes covering their bodies, as well as flowers growing out of their bodies. Some went so far as to attempt suicide. Deaths were even reported! Theories range from a bacteria ridden flour used on bread baked in the town to a bizarre CIA experiment. Join us  as we send Chris to France to nibble on some marbled rye!
