On episode 10 of the Between Bites podcast with Nina Compton and Larry Miller, New Orleans Pelicans play-by-play announcer Joel Meyers talks about his illustrious broadcasting career of more than 25 years.
Meyers came to New Orleans after six seasons as the Los Angeles Lakers’ TV Play-By-Play announcer (2005-11) and two as the Lakers’ radio play-by-play announcer (2003-2005). Meyers won two Emmy awards in his time as L.A.’s TV play-by-play man and previously served four years as the voice of San Antonio Spurs’ television broadcast before joining the Lakers.
