chum in the water if you will um you chum in the water if you will um you chum in the water if you will um you know we finally looked at each other and know we finally looked at each other and know we finally looked at each other and um you know we we looked at the numbers um you know we we looked at the numbers um you know we we looked at the numbers that were presented in front of us we that were presented in front of us we that were presented in front of us we

through some very hard times and um Miller cores really helped us out and Miller cores really helped us out and Miller cores really helped us out and got us out of a jam and um I honestly got us out of a jam and um I honestly got us out of a jam and um I honestly would do it 10 times would do it 10 times would do it 10 times over are there any misconceptions that over are there any misconceptions that over are there any misconceptions that you hear a lot of people talk about when

you hear a lot of people talk about when you hear a lot of people talk about when um a a buyout a ownership change like um a a buyout a ownership change like um a a buyout a ownership change like that that that happens personally I have not seen any happens personally I have not seen any happens personally I have not seen any right I I think if if molon Kors came in right I I think if if molon Kors came in right I I think if if molon Kors came in and changed the whole scope of our

and changed the whole scope of our and changed the whole scope of our business and told me I had a brew a business and told me I had a brew a business and told me I had a brew a light logger and or or whatever the light logger and or or whatever the light logger and or or whatever the style would be of the day and to dictate style would be of the day and to dictate style would be of the day and to dictate what we do as a business I'd have a very what we do as a business I'd have a very

I I I wouldn't be involved with this I I I wouldn't be involved with this I I I wouldn't be involved with this company anymore uh they give me the company anymore uh they give me the company anymore uh they give me the freedom uh to do what I want uh I I freedom uh to do what I want uh I I freedom uh to do what I want uh I I think our beer speaks for itself and and think our beer speaks for itself and and think our beer speaks for itself and and uh I think if the powers at B started

past there have been breweries that have been bought out by larger breweries and been bought out by larger breweries and been bought out by larger breweries and those larger breweries start to metal in those larger breweries start to metal in those larger breweries start to metal in those smaller breweries and they just those smaller breweries and they just those smaller breweries and they just don't do well and they lose all their don't do well and they lose all their

numbers of what's going on in the numbers of what's going on in the business and things like that but as far business and things like that but as far business and things like that but as far as day-to-day operations you're looking as day-to-day operations you're looking as day-to-day operations you're looking at it there's about four of us that that at it there's about four of us that that at it there's about four of us that that you know have the Reigns and run the

company that sounds uh well it sounds company that sounds uh well it sounds company that sounds uh well it sounds good place to be in right now sounds good place to be in right now sounds good place to be in right now sounds like you uh kept pretty true to you know like you uh kept pretty true to you know like you uh kept pretty true to you know everything that's been going on and so everything that's been going on and so everything that's been going on and so

my first experience with with terapin my first experience with with terapin my first experience with with terapin was way back in the early 2000s I was was way back in the early 2000s I was was way back in the early 2000s I was traveling for work and you guys were one traveling for work and you guys were one traveling for work and you guys were one of the first beers I ever muled back to of the first beers I ever muled back to of the first beers I ever muled back to

uh I'm pretty sure I brought it back to uh I'm pretty sure I brought it back to uh I'm pretty sure I brought it back to Chicago when I was living there um of Chicago when I was living there um of Chicago when I was living there um of course hopsecutioner I think is what I course hopsecutioner I think is what I course hopsecutioner I think is what I would have brought back um sure and I I would have brought back um sure and I I would have brought back um sure and I I

was happy to see that still on shelves was happy to see that still on shelves was happy to see that still on shelves although I didn't pick one of those up although I didn't pick one of those up although I didn't pick one of those up today but today but today but yeah yep that is that is our Flagship yeah yep that is that is our Flagship yeah yep that is that is our Flagship beer still going strong um you know beer still going strong um you know beer still going strong um you know

honestly the one that's most near and honestly the one that's most near and honestly the one that's most near and dear to my heart is the Ry pale we don't dear to my heart is the Ry pale we don't dear to my heart is the Ry pale we don't make that beer anymore but that one was make that beer anymore but that one was make that beer anymore but that one was the one that we came out with in 2002 the one that we came out with in 2002 the one that we came out with in 2002

entered the GBF six months later we win entered the GBF six months later we win entered the GBF six months later we win a gold medal for best paleo in the a gold medal for best paleo in the a gold medal for best paleo in the country and you know here we are 22 country and you know here we are 22 country and you know here we are 22 years later so um that one's got a years later so um that one's got a years later so um that one's got a special place in my heart uh so that was

lot of friends in the craft bre industry and I know a lot of people at the ba and and I know a lot of people at the ba and and I know a lot of people at the ba and uh h honestly when when the GBF starts uh h honestly when when the GBF starts uh h honestly when when the GBF starts getting sponsored um you know by a getting sponsored um you know by a getting sponsored um you know by a Spirits company in Buffalo Wild Spirits company in Buffalo Wild Spirits company in Buffalo Wild

Wings I I have to just shake my head and Wings I I have to just shake my head and Wings I I have to just shake my head and go okay that's where we are I mean we go okay that's where we are I mean we go okay that's where we are I mean we were we were taught for years that the were we were taught for years that the were we were taught for years that the spirits companies were our enemy right spirits companies were our enemy right spirits companies were our enemy right

and now they're sponsoring the GBF and and now they're sponsoring the GBF and and now they're sponsoring the GBF and Buffalo Wild Wings right where Bud Buffalo Wild Wings right where Bud Buffalo Wild Wings right where Bud Miller and Kors they were there every Miller and Kors they were there every Miller and Kors they were there every year I mean I've been in this business year I mean I've been in this business year I mean I've been in this business since the 90s right and um a lot has

looking into some of the things you guys looking into some of the things you guys are doing and I saw the um the the are doing and I saw the um the the are doing and I saw the um the the Brewing education scholarship fund which Brewing education scholarship fund which Brewing education scholarship fund which seemed really neat but can you talk seemed really neat but can you talk seemed really neat but can you talk about about about that yeah so um that was um put in place

that yeah so um that was um put in place that yeah so um that was um put in place place um at Tennessee state right and it place um at Tennessee state right and it place um at Tennessee state right and it was uh minorities in the Brewing was uh minorities in the Brewing was uh minorities in the Brewing industry and how we can help out and um industry and how we can help out and um industry and how we can help out and um I think we're on our third or fourth I think we're on our third or fourth

I think we're on our third or fourth candidate um but yeah they come down do candidate um but yeah they come down do candidate um but yeah they come down do an internship uh at the brewery and uh an internship uh at the brewery and uh an internship uh at the brewery and uh really get their feet wet on how to get really get their feet wet on how to get really get their feet wet on how to get involved with the industry um you know involved with the industry um you know

involved with the industry um you know it's just a a really good way that we it's just a a really good way that we it's just a a really good way that we can lend a hand um monetarily and using can lend a hand um monetarily and using can lend a hand um monetarily and using our facility to better educate people our facility to better educate people our facility to better educate people who want to get in the Brewing industry who want to get in the Brewing industry

who want to get in the Brewing industry you know sure and and that looked like you know sure and and that looked like you know sure and and that looked like that was part of the fermentation that was part of the fermentation that was part of the fermentation Sciences degree um through the Sciences degree um through the Sciences degree um through the university right so do you get to like university right so do you get to like university right so do you get to like

um I don't know uh would you be like um I don't know uh would you be like um I don't know uh would you be like experim do they what are I guess what experim do they what are I guess what experim do they what are I guess what are they doing there are they working are they doing there are they working are they doing there are they working with experimental yeasts are they doing with experimental yeasts are they doing with experimental yeasts are they doing you know experimental methods and things

wasn't just oh yeah this is a cool idea and then you know you become a brewer and then you know you become a brewer and then you know you become a brewer and then all of a sudden you're like wow and then all of a sudden you're like wow and then all of a sudden you're like wow I have to sweat every day and you know I I have to sweat every day and you know I I have to sweat every day and you know I get beer all over me and it and I've get get beer all over me and it and I've get

the hobby but I really needed it to put on the Brewing boo boots if you will uh on the Brewing boo boots if you will uh on the Brewing boo boots if you will uh to see if I wanted to pursue the career to see if I wanted to pursue the career to see if I wanted to pursue the career because a lot of people think oh yeah because a lot of people think oh yeah because a lot of people think oh yeah Brewing yeah it's so fun man I do it at Brewing yeah it's so fun man I do it at

Brewing yeah it's so fun man I do it at home blah blah and then they get into it home blah blah and then they get into it home blah blah and then they get into it and they're like and they're like and they're like holy crap it's it's work right so um holy crap it's it's work right so um holy crap it's it's work right so um it's like working in a factory I mean it it's like working in a factory I mean it it's like working in a factory I mean it really is I mean you're you're you're a
