I couldn't find any other recording of this piece... so it is very possible this is the first recording ever! Vicente Costa y Nogueras was a piano teacher in Barcelona starting in 1892 until the end of his life. He was born in Alicante in 1852 and died in 1919. He mainly composed piano music.

I started to think that the lack of popularity of this composer is maybe in part due to his hard to remember name/last name combination... I certianly have a hard time remembering it! Composer Vicente Costa Nogueras was born in Alcoy (Alicante) in 1852 and died in Barcelona in 1919. He was a composer, soloist and piano teacher.
