Transcript

A lot of rejected medical school applicants normally get rejected because of really poor reference letters. Now, I want to tell you exactly how to fix that in literally 60 seconds. So here's my five tips that works every single time. Number one. choose a person who's a storyteller and actually knows you not someone who's like a celebrity like for example if you met a Nobel laureate for 60 seconds is not as good as somebody who actually you worked with for like three years secondly

ask early and ask boldly two months out three months out you say hey could you please you write me a strong letter of recommendation if they say no or they hesitate it's not them ask somebody else who's willing to write you a strong letter of reference three give them enough information

Hand them your personal statement, your application, your motivation for following medicine. Four, waive your right to review it later. Confidentiality equals better reference sellers. And lastly, follow up like a pro and politely. Make sure you actually do this before. They're actually submitted and then at the end, thank them. When you thank them and you have a positive experience, next time you ask for a reference letter, it's going to be ready for you very quickly.
