S1 E37: What Happened to Lauren Smith-Fields?

Lauren Smith-Fields was an African-American woman from Bridgeport, Connecticut. She was caring, loving and brought light to every room she walked into. On the morning of Sunday, December 12, 2021, she was allegedly found unresponsive in bed by her Bumble date, Matthew LaFountain. Although Matthew was the last person to see Lauren alive, he was never questioned or made suspect. The crime scene was never investigated, no evidence was collected, police hung up on Laruens family multiple times while asking questions, and Laurens family was never notified of Laurens death until the day after by Laurens landlord. It's clear that something is trying to be covered up or there's secrets the police know but never tell. So what actually happened to Lauren Smith-Fields?
