Episode description

My guest today is Brendan Monaghan, Pitching Coach / Recruiting Coordinator at Rutgers University.  He recently completed his 4th and historic season with the Scarlet Knights. This past spring, Rutgers pitchers played a crucial role in setting a program record with 44 wins in 2022.  Overall team ERA went from 5.00 in 2021 to 4.22, which was the second-best mark in the Big Ten and 35th in the country.

Previously, Monaghan spent three seasons as the pitching coach and recruiting coordinator at Bryant College in Rhode Island as well as the pitching coach at George Washington University and UMass Lowell. After graduation from St. John's, he had a four-year professional career with the Baltimore Orioles organization.

Join us as we cover a variety of topics including creating positive change within a team setting,  when and when not to use technology in player development and which athletes are the most recruitable.
