Today's podcast is with Mike McFerran, Director of Player Development for the Wake Forest Baseball program and Coordinator of the Wake Forest Pitching Lab.  Join us as we discuss a variety of topics, including:

  • Marker vs marker-less mocap systems
  • The pipeline from data testing to actual training
  • Interpretation vs. misinterpretation when using data
  • Deciding when a mechanical issue is a mobility problem

Mike joined Wake Forest in 2021, to provide a bridge a bridge between the Pitching Lab and Wake Forest Baseball program by interpreting and defining the developmental direction of throwing athletes in collaboration with coaching and support staff.  Prior to Wake Forest, Mike served as the Associate Head Coach, Pitching Coach, & Recruiting Coordinator at Skidmore College from 2017-2020.

He earned his Master's in Business Administration with a concentration in Sport Management at Lynn University in 2016, and his Bachelor's in Mass Communications at The College at Brockport in 2015.
