Episode description

On the show today Deputy Editor David Marley speaks to Middle East Correspondent Bel Trew about how Covid-19 is affecting the region.

Coronavirus could be catastrophic as many countries do not have adequate healthcare systems to cope with the sweeping pandemic. Bel takes us behind the scenes on a recent trip to an Intensive Care Unit at a hospital in Beirut and we hear from the doctors she spoke to.

She also explores how the very notion of social distancing is impossible for many, such as those living in refugee camps.
