Episode description

Hosts Metz Camfield and Brent Carney begin the latest episode of Behind Kentucky Basketball with a lesson on the importance of perspective, and the impact someone’s prior outlook on the Wildcats can have on their current outlook following UK’s loss to UCLA in the CBS Sports Classic.

After recapping the loss to the Bruins, Camfield and Carney preview Friday’s big intrastate rivalry game against Louisville. What do the Cats need to do to leave Rupp Arena with their ninth victory over the Cards in the past 11 tries? What will be the key matchup in Friday’s game? And what key area is UofL different than all of UK’s previous opponents this season?

Camfield and Carney also preview the Wildcats’ Southeastern Conference opener against Georgia on New Year’s Eve at Rupp Arena. The Bulldogs, led by senior forward Yante Maten, the preseason co-SEC Player of the Year, always present a difficult matchup and will be well-rested before taking on the Wildcats. What impact will that have on the game? Once again, perspective is key.
