For 60 years manufactures told women that the use of silcone in breast implants was safe; women have relied upon those claims, largely because it came with an FDA endorsement. It was afterall, the FDA who "green-lighted" silicone devices. Yet, the FDA allowed manufacturers to stall the efficacy study phase indefinately. The "green light" permission weighed heavily upon studies that never materialized to prove implant safety. The FDA was caught in an insoluble hoax perpetrated by greedy manufacturers. Now, more than ever, if women knew just how toxic implants were the hoax would finally be up.
