Welcome to Before Breakfast, a production of iHeartRadio. Good Morning, This is Laura. Welcome to the Before Breakfast podcast.

Speaker 2

Today's tip is that you don't have to branch out if you know your tastes and you don't especially crave variety, there is no need to feel obligated to change things.

Speaker 1

Just stick with what you like. On my other podcast, Best of Both Worlds, my co host Sarah hart Unger recently commented that Pink Lady apples were her favorite apples. I asked how she felt about honeycrisps, which I tend to like, and she said they were pretty good, but she implied that she basically had no use for them in a place where grocery stores with Pink Lady apples are abundant, why should she. Some people like trying a variety of different apples, but it seems Sarah isn't one

of those people. She likes Pink Lady apples and is perfectly content without other apples in her life. She commented that her husband has a cinnamon raised in Dave's Killer bagel just about every day. No need to investigate other bagel options, which means this is one less thing to think about. So hey, good for him. When you are happy with something and not bored with the repetition and not curious about alternatives, you can just leave it at that.

You don't have to branch out now. Personally, I like trying different foods, but there are plenty of places where I have no desire to switch things up either. I have a uniform for summer that involves cropped jeans, flats, and slightly longer sleeveless tops. I don't feel the need to change this up. I have been wearing my hair more or less the same way for years. I am sure there are other fascinating styles, but oh well, same with the magazine articles I occasionally read about getting new

throw pillows to change up your living room. Look, I think, hey, my living room is fine. No need to branch out from what is there. We go to the same beach town for a week or two every summer. I hear there are other beaches, But you know what, I am fine. I know that plenty of people feel stretched these days. A lot of the demands on our time are significant and hard to escape. If you have little kids, aging parents, and an intense job, plus all the usual life maintenance responsibilities.

There is already a lot that you really do have to do and have to think about, but Apple selection just isn't one of those things. So if you are happy with what you've got in some category from travel to close to music to restaurants, and you don't desire a change, then there is no reason to branch out. You have my permission to go with what you like. In the meantime, this is Laura. Thanks for listening, and here's to making the most of our time. Thanks for
