What started as a fix for our family’s bedtime routine interruption has grown into a worldwide audience with hundreds of thousands of listeners. My wife Jocelyn and I have 3 kids and love inspiring others towards greater imagination and curiosity.

Speaker 1

Hello friends, and welcome to bedtime stories with mister jim O. I was just getting ready for bed, are you as well? Oh good? I hope you brushed your teeth and found all of your comfy things like pillows and blankets and stuffies. Oh yes, oh good. Well, as long as you have all those things ready, then it's time for our story. But first we must close our eyes so that we can travel to an imaginary world. On the first day

of Spring of Fluffy little cottontail bunny was born. Her mom named her Quinn since she arrived on the spring equinox. Quinn was a happy little bunny and enjoy doing the same things that most bunnies did. She liked to hop around eating grass and berries with her mama and Papa Bunny and all of her bunny siblings. She spent her

days bouncing through fields and playing by the streams. At night, Quinn and her family would return to their burrow together, but when other bunnies would be snuggling up for sleep, Quinn's family was still awake and very busy. Each spring night, before they went to sleep, the bunny family had to paint Easter eggs. They would pile them in their burrow and grabbed their paint brushes. Quinn loved to paint the

eggs in fun patterns, rainbows, polka dots, stripes. Sometimes she would even paint little self portraits of her fuzzy brown face. It was all hard work, but Quinn and her family enjoyed it. They took their responsibilities as Easter bunnies very seriously. She painted eggs right up until she fell asleep. Mama Bunny took the pink brush from Quinn's fuzzy paw, and soon the rest of the family joined her, and everyone

snuggled up for bed. The next morning, Quinn was hopping through the forest when she came across the most beautiful flower patch she had ever seen. She collected flowers in shades of strawberry red and sunshine yellow, bringing them back to her burrow and to admire some more. That night, while they were painting, Quinn's little brother Knox, accidentally spilled paint on himself, coating his white paws in rainbows. While mother helped clean him up, Quinn hopped over to a

pile of unfinished eggs to stretch her bunny legs. She admired the different colors from all their hard work. Quinn reached a fuzzy paw out for a pretty polka dot dotted egg. As she plucked it from its spot, the pile began to wobble. Oh, whispered Quinn. A purple painted egg rolled itself down the pile, clinking as it went when it hit the ground. The egg continued fast towards the table with her red and yellow flowers. Clunk. It came to a loud stop as it hit the table leg.

Then the egg split in half. Oh no, Quinn whispered. As she scrambled to pick it up. A flower petal floated down on top of it. Without thinking much about it, she plucked the rest of the flower and stuck it inside the egg. Then she pushed the two halves together and hoped they would stay with a little Easter bunny magic. They did. Quhen, what was that noise? Mother bunny asked, No, nothing, It's fine, called back Quinn. She quickly added the egg back to the pile and hopped back to paint more

with her family. The rest of the night. Quinn thought about the flower inside the egg. What a neat surprise for whoever finds that Easter egg During the hunt. She thought, how exciting would it be if all the eggs had a surprise inside. Quinn decided that night to return to the pile of painted eggs once everyone was sleeping. She tiptoed her way toward the pile and plucked the first egg out of it. It rumbled and an egg turned down.

She pulled another, and two more tumbled after it. As she pulled more, even more painted eggs rolled away, racing toward the wall and cracking perfectly in half. Quinn collected the rest of her flowers and placed either a red or yellow one gently into one half of the egg, then sealed them with Easter bunny magic. When she ran out of flowers, she began adding whatever she found around the house. Eggs were filled with berries, nuts, tiny wooden toys,

and more. Quinn looked upon the newly piled eggs proudly, excited for the surprises inside to be revealed. After weeks of painting eggs and Quinn secretly filling them, it was time. The Easter bunny family gathered their baskets and filled them to the brim with eggs. Then they hopped out of their burrow, spread out all around the forest and fields to hide them, Quinn placed her eggs underneath bushes, in

flower patches, nestled between rocks by the stream. When all of the eggs had been hidden, the Easter Bunny family hopped home with their empty baskets for some much needed rest. As Quinn cuddled in her burrow with her Mamma Bunny, Papa Bunny, and brothers and sisters, she smiled as she dreamed of the egg hunt and all the happy animals of the forest. She hoped the animals enjoyed their surprises when they opened their eggs. As Quinn dozed, Mama Bunny

padded Quinn's ears. She knew all along what her daughter had been doing, and she was happy for her for discovering a way to make their Eastern traditions even more special. Well, my friends, as we all close our eyes and get all comfy, may you have very happy dreams. Good night,
