Hello, friends, and welcome to bedtime stories with mister Jim. Oh. I was just getting ready for bed, are you as well? Oh good, I hope you brushed your teeth and found all of your comfy things like pillows and blankets and stuffies. Oh yes, oh good. Well, as long as you have all those things ready, then it's time for our story. But first we must close our eyes so that we can travel to an imaginary world. Sweet dreams, Avery, her mom said, as she kissed her on the head and
turned out the light. Avery gave a sleepy smile and closed her eyes, drifting off to the place between sleep and dreams and waited. Every night. When Avery fell asleep, she met the dream dragon, who took her to her dreams. Avery floated around sleepily until a beam of fiery light appeared, taking shape as it flew gracefully closer. The dream Dragon's scales shimmered like a dancing lantern, casting orange and yellow
lights over Avery. Let's go find some dreams. The dragon beamed its toothy smile at her, and Avery nodded and climbed up onto the dragon's back like she did every night. As the dragon flew, Avery imagined she was flying beside it. She opened her eyes to see sparkling waves below her, even dolphins jumping through the water. The dream Dragon was beside her as she flew on her own wings. Avery was a water dragon, dipping her wings in the water
and feeling its coolness. Dive in. Avery come play. The dolphins squealed to her as they jumped in and out of the water. Avery waved to the dream Dragon before diving in to join the dolphins. The dolphins swam around her with glee, and the dream Dragon continued on without her, as it did every night. She swam along with them a bit as a water dragon before transforming into a blue whale. Her massive size made it difficult to jump in and out of the water, so instead she dove
down deep to explore. The ocean grew darker as the sun rays faded away. The only light down here came from the jellyfish, who glowed like night lights as they gently swayed wherever the water took them. Avery searched for someone else to play with along the stillness of the deep ocean and discovered a sea cave. She shrunk down into a manta ray in order to fit through the entrance She swam through a wall of water and popped out the other side as Avery. No fins or flippers,
just Avery. The sun was shining and the grass and bushes were lush and green. Rumbles shook the ground around her until giant feet came into view. A t rex roared high above, and Avery at once became a t rex too. Yay a friend, the t rex said, now that Avery could understand it. Avery and the t rex stomped through the trees together, side by side, until the
sun lowered the sky a deep orange. It reminded Avery of the dream Dragon, and as she looked again, she could see the orange of the sun's rays sailing toward her, forming into her dear old friend. As the dream Dragon landed beside her, Avery waved goodbye to the t rex with her tiny little t rex arms. She was much too big to climb on his back, so she shrank down and became soft and fuzzy. Avery the bunny rabbit, hopped onto the dream Dragon and they took off, flying
up towards the moon. They flew a few loops around the stars, watching the comets and space rocks within is around. Avery decided she would like to catch a ride on one of them, and the dream Dragon transformed. The dream Dragon's glowing scales turned to stone, while its tail became the fiery tail of a comet. They looped around the planets a few times until Avery told the dragon, I'm ready to rest now. So the dragon comet brought her to a planet where her bunny self hopped off and
headed towards the forest. She found a soft bed of grass below the trees and curled up underneath it. The fireflies blinked around her, drying shapes with their lights. She listened as the bullfrogs croaked by the lake, thought about what it would be like to rip it so deeply. She hopped over to the water's edge and jumped to a lily pad, where her legs became long and green. Avery the bullfrog smiled at the others began to croak in rhythm. She watched as fish swam below, dancing to
their tune. Avery laughed as the dream Dragon returned began to dance along as well. She could tell it was almost time to go back with the dream Dragon and start her new day, But for now, she sang and danced along with the dragon and the bullfrogs. Enjoying her dreams where she could be anything she wanted to be. My friends, as it's time to close our eyes, may you have very sweet dreams where you can be anything that you want to be. Good Night, my friends,
