Speaker 1

Hello, friends, and welcome to bedtime Stories with mister Jim. Oh. I was just getting ready for bed, are you as well? Oh good? I hope you brushed your teeth and found all of your comfy things like pillows and blankets and stuffies. Oh yes, oh good. Well, as long as you have all those things ready, then it's time for our story. But first we must close our eyes so that we can travel to an imaginary world. Bessie the Cow had

always dreamed of greatness. She lived on a farm full of marvelous animals like Phyllis the fiddle playing cat and Fido the dog Magician. Fid A loved to make the dishes come alive and entertain the farm animals at night, alongside Phyllis, who played the musical accompaniment for their shows. Bessie the Cow had tried to be brilliant herself, but she wasn't sure what her talents were. She had tried painting, but she couldn't figure out how to hold the brush

in her hoofs. She attempted to sing along with the cat's fiddle, but the barn animals all groaned and covered their ears. She even dabbled in competitive eating, but her four stomachs were no match for the pig's unending appetites. One thing Bessie enjoyed, however, was jumping. Bessie loved to leap and prance all around the fields, dashing over flower patches and sometimes small goats, but she didn't know how

to turn her hobby into something great. She wanted to be able to entertain to wow all the other farm animals, but she didn't know where to start. One night, after Phyllis and Fido had put on another great show involving a dance routine completed by an enchanted dish and spoon, the cat and dog approached her. Bessie, what's wrong. You didn't seem to enjoy the show very much. Bessie sighed, Oh no, the show was great. I'm sorry. I just want to be able to do something special, but I

don't know how. Bessie explained how her love of jumping and her dreams of dazzling the farm with her talent never left her. Fido gave Bessie advice. Well, first, Bessy, you have to do what makes you happy. Jump for you, not for other animals. Then if performing is really what you want, you need to practice The more you practice jumping, the better you will be. Bessie gave the dog her first smile of the night. The friends chatted a bit more before heading off to bed. That night, Bessie dreamed

of jumping. She jumped over cars and buses, then houses and skyscrapers. Bessie felt amazing as she soared through the air in her dreams, even with no one watching. The next morning, it was decided Bessie would practice her jumps, and she was determined to jump as high as the sky, maybe even higher. Bessie entered the barn and greeted the horses. She convinced them to line up and allow her to

practice jumping over them. First, she jumped over one horse, then two, and eventually she jumped over all five horses. It was a long day and she went to bed that night exhausted and proud of herself. Each day, Bessie gave herself a new challenge. She had master jumping over the barn animals, so she moved on to the tractor. Once she could do that, Bessie began to prepare herself to jump over the barn. At that point, the other animals began to watch. Whoa look at Bessie go. She

can leap over the barn in a single bound. That's one amazing cow. Bessie was happy with all the kind remarks from her barnyard friends, but she wasn't ready to stop challenging herself. She had made a goal to jump as high as the sky, and she was going to reach it. Once Bessie master jumping over the barn, she had to move on to higher and more challenging leaps. One night, as the farmer slept, Phyllis and Fido swiped

the farmer's keys and borrowed the trailer. They loaded all of the barn animals up and ventured into the city. All right, Bessie, this is the city's tallest skyscraper. Give it a go. Encouraged the dog, Bessie practiced all night. By the time the sun began to rise, she had done it. Bessie could jump over the skyscraper. The farm animals watched in amazement before piling back into the trailer and heading back to the farm, where the farmer woke up.

Everyone was extra sleepy that day, but it was worth it. It was exciting to watch Bessie complete a goal. Bessie kept practicing at the farm each night, jumping higher and higher before bed. She was jumping full into the sky while she was out leaping by moonlight. One night, Phyllis and Fido reproached her with a question, Bessie, would you like to join us in a show? Bessie nodded and mooed with excitement. She would love nothing more than to

perform for all the barn animals. So the next night, after the farmer went to bed, the farm animals all gathered to watch. Phyllis played a song she had named Hey did a little. While the animals settled down to watch the performance of the cat and the fiddle. Behind Phyllis, Bessie jumped. She reached the sky and kept going. She jumped higher and higher until the cow jumped over the moon. Fido was thrilled, and the little dog laughed to see

such an amazing thing. He forgot all about the table where he had been making dance, and at the first chance the dish ran away with the spoon. Bessie landed beside the cat and dog, and all of the farm animals almost erupted in cheers. That night, Bessie slept more soundly than ever, full of joy from her happy friends, and having jumped further than she could ever have dreamed the end. Well, friends, as we close our eyes and cozy up, you all have very happy dreams. Good night, my friends,
