Hello, friends, and welcome to bedtime Stories with mister Jim. Oh. I was just getting ready for bed, are you as well? Oh good? I hope you brushed your teeth and found all of your comfy things like pillows and blankets and stuffies. Oh yes, oh good. Well, as long as you have all those things ready, then it's time for our story. But first we must close our eyes so that we can travel to an imaginary world. Hallen and Miles were two young friends who love nothing more and going on
adventures and exploring new places. They lived by the ocean and spent most of their days playing in the sand and splashing in the waves. Sometimes their sand castles would be so big and tall that they could even crawl inside of them. Have you ever built a sand castle that big before? Wow? Well, one day, while they were out playing, they heard a strange noise coming from the beach. They ran over to see what it was, and they were shocked to find a humongous whale stuck on the sand,
struggling to get back into the water. Hallan and Miles knew they had to help. They had learned in school about how whale can get beached if they get too close to shore. They were very worried about this poor whale, so they sprang into action, determined to save it. They tried to push the whale back into the ocean, but it was far too heavy for them to move on their own, so they ran back to their houses to
get help from their neighbors. Miles ran down his street and Halan ran down her street, knocking on every single door to see what neighbors might be able to help. They found many parents and kids, grandmas and grandpas, all willing to help save the whale that was stuck on the sand. What would you do if you found a whale that was stuck on the sand? Would you try to help it? Oh? Good, me too. When they returned to the beach with their parents, neighbors, and friends, they
started to pull and push with all their might. This whale was almost as long as their houses. Wow. Can you imagine trying to push your house? Oh? I think I would need a lot of help for that. Together they all pushed and pulled, and finally, inch by inch, they pushed the whale back into the ocean. It was a huge job. Finally they succeeded. As the whales swam away, it turned to look at Hallen and Miles, they could see its eye poking out above the surface of the water.
It leaned to its side and waved its fin as a way of saying thank you. Both Helen and Miles were very happy that they were able to save this poor whale that had been stuck. Not only had they helped save a life, a very important life, they also were able to pull all their friends, neighbors, and parents together to do the job as one. From that day on, Hallen and Miles made a promise to protect their beach.
Part of this job and walking up and down the beach collecting any litter or trash that might have washed upshore, and also helping the animals that might have gotten stuck along their journey. They knew that by working together they could make one big difference in the world. Later that night, as they finished their day, Helen and Miles said goodbye
to each other and went back to their houses. They got ready for bed brushed their teeth, But as they lay in bed that night thinking about their day's adventure, they couldn't help but smile. They knew that they had a very special job of protecting the beach and saving that whale, and they couldn't have done it without each other and all their friends. And with that thought, they fell asleep, dreaming of all the amazing adventures that they
would have together in the future. Wow, as we fall asleep tonight, I wonder if there's something special waiting for you tomorrow, some kind of adventure or something that needs your help. Well, my friends, I think it's about time that we head to bed so that we can have our energy ready for whatever adventure waits us tomorrow. Good Night, my friends, and sweet dreams.
