Hello, friends, and welcome to bedtime Stories with mister jim O. I was just getting ready for bed, are you as well? Oh good, I hope you brushed your teeth and found all of your comfy things like pillows and blankets and stuffies. Oh yes, oh good. Well, as long as you have all those things ready, then it's time for our story. But first we must close our eyes so that we can travel to an imaginary world. Thanks for lunch, mom, I'm all done. That was delicious, Violet said to her
mother as she just finished her lunch. To day's lunch was not a normal lunch because something amazing happened while she was eating an apple. Oh yes, she bit right in and her tooth fell out. Has that ever happened to you before? Well, this was Violet's first tooth she had ever lost, and it broke right off and stuck into the apple. She wanted to show all of her friends.
But something pretty cool about Violet and her friends, you know, they may be a little different than some of the friends that you or I might have, is that her best friend is named Dave the Dolphin. Do you have a best friend named Dave the Dolphin? Probably not, because Violet lives on a houseboat. I know that does sound very cool. She lives on a boat on the water, so she gets to see the most amazing sea creatures, fish, animals,
and birds right from her bedroom window. When the waves are nice and clear and calm, she can see fish swimming. But she was really looking for her friend, Dave the Dolphin. Dave the Dolphin didn't know yet that Violet had lost her first tooth. She was so excited to show him. She ran to the edge of the boat and called for Dave the Dolphin by clicking her tongue. He waited and waited, when all of a sudden, Dave the Dolphin
poked his head out from the water. Violet proudly held her tooth out in two fingers, high above her head so that Dave could see. Dave looked very scared. He did not know why she might be happy to lose a tooth. Dave thought that was a scary thing. Violet explained to Dave the Dolphin that people teeth when they're born, or born with baby teeth that fall out so that
their bigger, grown up teeth can grow through. It all began to make sense for Dave Violet brought the tooth closer to the edge of the boat, when all of a sudden, a big way from the ocean crashed right onto Violet's hand. Just like that, the tooth started to sink to the bottom of the ocean. Dave looked up at her with very big eyes, nodded his head, and took down, swimming as fast as he could. He had to save her tooth. This was very important to Violet.
Dave swam all the way to the bottom of the ocean began to look around, but there was no tooth anywhere. Dave the Dolphin began asking all of his friends, and finally everything pointed to Herman. Oh. Yes, Hermann the hermit crab. Yes, he was very good at finding things, especially shiny things. Crabs do like to take treasures, and maybe, just maybe Herman mistakenly took that tooth and thinking it was something valuable. Dave the Dolphin swam over to Hermann's house and explained everything.
A very grouchy Herman did understand and pulled the tooth out from behind his shell. Dave the Dolphin was very happy and placed the tooth on his flipper and quickly swam to the top of the surface of the water by a Violet's boat. Violet was so happy to have found her missing tooth. Dave the dolphin was also very happy to have helt a friend. Later that night, Violet put her tooth underneath her pillow. Oo it got ready for bed, Ah laid down with all of her comfy
things and fell asleep. Because that night something magical was about to happen to her tooth under her pillow. But that, my friends, is a story for another day. The end
