Episode description

Jon Tait is the Director of School Improvement and Deputy CEO at Arete Learning Trust in North Yorkshire. Jon started teaching in 2001 as a qualified PE teacher and more recently has taught Computer Science. Jon has been a senior leader for 13 of his 19 years in teaching. At school Jon was a free school meals student and was what we now class as disadvantaged and went to university on a full grant. Outside of education Jon carried the Olympic Torch in 2012, has coached American Football for Great Britain and has played in the FA Cup. Jon is the author of four books, 100 ideas for engaging learners, Bloomsbury CPD Library: Senior Leadership, Succeeding as a Head of Year and his latest publication Teaching Rebooted.
