#453 The Gospel is Light, Truth and Love: Dispelling the Darkness in the World and In the Individual Human Heart

And St Athanasius , an early church father and the doctor of the church , said the son of God became man so that we might become God . You know I make a while to guess at this , but I bet you , most of us , are a bit disconnected from this divine life that these saints are pointing us to .

Yet St John Paul II said there's an echo of this story , of this divine life that we're created for , inscribed in each human heart , in your human heart , and if you put on a proper lens , if I put on a proper lens , we can get in touch with this echo within us in such a way that we have that aha moment .

See , that's the genus of St John Paul II's theology the body . It connects our lived experience of life to the gospel in such a way that our life takes on a whole new meaning and helps us answer those big questions that our whole culture is so confused about today . Who am I ? What's my purpose . Why were we created male and female ?

How do I find happiness here on earth ? How do I find love that satisfies forever ? Hey , glad you're with me . I'll be right back for today's episode . It's so good to be with you . I'm recording on a Saturday . I just got carried away with this week . The weeks are going by really fast . I'm glad you're with me .

You know I usually don't play that particular introduction except on Wednesdays when we're unpacking theology of the body , but it just makes so much sense . It's this divine life that we're called into and the darkness that's pervaded because we've thrown out God .

But yet the gospel , the word , is the awe and wonder of light , the spelling , the darkness in the world , and you can see that all around us it's becoming clearer and clearer . The one good thing about this incredible attacks from every side , from every corner , is that we have these lights shining through men and through women . Again , all over the world .

You see these lights shining here , shining there , shining there , the spelling , the darkness . Yet the darkness is thick , isn't it ? It's really thick and my heart goes out to , especially to young people . I saw a clip on X of kids in a Zoom class that somebody posted .

It seemed like most of them were young immigrants A spewing dishatred of whiteness and Christianity . You could see that they've been indoctrinated . You know the great oppressor must be eliminated White supremacists who , especially white supremacists who endorse Christianity . Christianity means needs to be moved out even further .

I mean , we've thrown it out of the schools , we've thrown it out of the public square . You know people are getting attacked left and right . You know there's an attack on the freedom of Christians . Attack on that means this .

Let me state it this way that means an attack on the person , attack on human dignity and of course , it's Jesus Christ who came to set our freedom free . You can hear through this vitro , this hatred . It reverse hatred racism and bigotry . And you know bigotry and racism , no matter who it comes from , will never be the solution to racism and bigotry .

These young people don't understand that and you can hear the serpent working through them . And again , my heart goes out to them because this has been pushed out to them . But it's a rejection of God . You know you will not die , you will be like God's the serpent said to Eve who can call good evil and evil good ? So who are these young people ?

They're being indoctrinated . My heart goes out to them . Yet they've fallen for this oldest lie in human history , spewing lies and falsehoods in a place of truth and especially this hatred in the place of love . You know what is this then ? You know it's an attack on human dignity . It's an attack on their own persons . They're being enslaved to hatred and lies .

It starts in the human heart and then it goes out into the public square . So what is this ?

It goes from the human heart to an attack on our nation , which our nation was unique , unlike any other in history , a nation founded not by rulers , the principalities and the powers of this present darkness , as Saint Paul would say to the Ephesians , but on Judeo-Christian principles , something unique , something different in all of the world .

So , as I was reading scripture this week and for this upcoming Sunday's Gospel , along with some of the readings earlier , one , particularly from Titus , stood out , I just wanted to review that with you . It's so important to be reading scripture every day . The story is being unpacked . This is a human history story .

This is an old story , but it comes to light in each new generation and it's coming into this generation and it's amazing . The darkness and the lies . So the Gospel is light , truth and love . It dispels the darkness of this world , the exterior darkness , but it starts with the interior darkness , the interior human heart .

The Gospel , the light , the word , is a person , jesus Christ , who is the way , the truth and the life . He is the narrow gate , the bridge by which man , men and women again enter and they transcend above sin and death , which is the default position of fallen man . Sin and death . It's just a reality .

Through the incarnation , jesus comes into the world and unites in his person our humanity along with divinity . In his body he takes on human body , blood and soul , unites it to divinity within himself body , blood , soul and divinity . Then he takes on sin and death .

He offers this in his body on the cross in oblation , a sacrifice of himself to the Father , lifting in his sense our humanity , our human nature , our human flesh and blood , reunited with divinity , offers it to the Father in perfection .

The Father accepts this and when Jesus returns the Father in His resurrection , he sends the Holy Spirit , the Spirit of truth and love . And to all of those who say , yes , they're fiat , they accept this and we become free . Our free will must be involved here . Each person was created with reason , which seeks the truth , and then we're created free .

We have to be free because without freedom there is no love . And this is all about love . This is the gospel of truth and love . Now you reject this oblation , you reject this sacrifice given for us and we fall back into the default position of sin and death .

And this is what those poor young people are just spewing hatred , using reverse racism , reverse bigotry . Again , remember that the sacrifice is Jesus Christ on the cross , the redemptive act . In a word , redemption is collective , it's offered to all of us , all men and women , but salvation is individual . You must say yes .

St Augustine said the God who created you without you will not save you without you . Consider the light of the gospel In awe and wonder . We have to consider this , the awe and wonder . While you're reading this , while you're reading scripture , while you're praying , while you're inviting God into your heart , you know the awe and wonder of this .

For people living in darkness , there is no hope , looking at the reality of sin and the inevitable death . Tick , tock , tick , tock , tick , tock . The invisible God , jesus Christ , the final Adam , takes on a human body and reveals the mystery of the Father and His love . He fully reveals man to man himself and makes his supreme calling clear .

This is awe and wonder . What's our supreme calling ? To be united , reunited as it was in the beginning , before sin , to God himself , to live in the ambit of that and to live in truth and love . As in my intro , st Catherine of Siena , become who you are and you will set the world on fire .

St Athanasius , again , the early church father , a doctor of the church . The son of God became man so that we could become God , united to God . This is our heritage to be like God . We're creating an image and likeness of God . This is also , again , the reverse of that .

It's the lie told by the serpent who offered Adam and Eve what they could be like God's by turning away from God . That was the lie To become God without God . What does this mean ? In the visible world ? It goes back to that default position sin and death . For in rejecting God , we reject the truth and love itself , because truth is a person .

If you're looking for the truth , what is the truth ? Someone will ask you . The truth is not a something , the truth is a somebody . His name is Jesus Christ . We know in the first letter of John . He's come to understand that God is love , not that we love God first , but that God loved us first .

And we're given over , when we reject that , to the threefold concupiscence Again the concupiscence of the flesh , the eyes and the pride of life . We're put on this broad highway to know where it's really the highway to perdition , to sin and death , both in this world and in the world to come .

Yet we're offered , awe and wonder , god's own son , the final Adam this is from God , he's in the sped 22 , restores the divine likeness which had been disfigured from the first sin onward . He restores human dignity , for by his incarnation , the son of God , he's united himself in some fashion with every one of us .

In the beginning , adam , with before sin , was brought into this awe and wonder of creation as priest , prophet and king . And we're all , we're all giving this . We're all priests , prophet and king . What does that mean ?

In the beginning , adam was brought into the created world to be the priest , to offer up all of these gifts that God gave us in creation and the gift of life itself , and just to say thank you , a simple thank you .

We offer this up as priests , we are prophets , we are given divine life and love , and then we pass this on to each generation and we're the king . We're given dominion , mastery over all of creation . But , but ? But mastery starts in our own heart . We have to be masters of ourselves . We are self determining people .

Who will we become People of truth and love , or reject that and become people of hatred ? Huh , as priests , this awe and wonder lifting up our own hearts to God , along with all creation . It's a simple act of oblation , our , our , our thank you again for God pouring himself out . The prophet remember no sin .

Adam goes out and the first commandment be fertile , multiply , fill the earth and , along with Eve and union , communing with God . They're the prophets of truth and love in all of creation and they pass this down in their actions to all of creation and especially to the next generation that will follow . Are these teens hearing this story ? Probably not .

And then , king again , have dominion over all creation , but especially again over your own hearts . Where did all of this flow from God ? Satan was right you can be like God . His lie was that you can be like God's by turning away from God .

The truth is that we're already created a muggle day in the image of God Likeness would flow from their actions , then done in truth and love , to become persons of love . God is truth and love . And again , this , this zoom class that I saw with these , these , these young people spewing hatred of whiteness and Christianity . The great oppressor must be eliminated .

See , this is this , is this attack on Christian Christians , is an attack on their personal dignity . Can you not hear the serpent again working through these young people ? Listen to them as you , as you hear the spewing of this , this , this hatred , and reverse racism . Reject God , you will not die , you will be like God's .

You can call evil good and good evil . They're indoctrinated and again our heart has to go out to them , for they fallen for the oldest lie in human history and they spew lies and falsehoods in place of truth and hatred in place of love . Again , this is an attack on human dignity .

And our nation , unlike any other in human history , was a nation founded not by the rulers but on the powers , not on the powers and principalities of this present darkness and again , but based on Judeo-Christian principles , the Declaration of Independence . I think it's worth reading that again .

We hold these truths to be self-evident that all men are created equal , that they were endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights . Among them are life , liberty and the pursuit of happiness . That to secure these rights , governments are instituted among men deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed .

That whenever any form of government becomes destructive to these ends , it is the right of the people to alter and abolish it . I mean , the founding fathers really were enlightened . One of the foremost constitutional theorists of the founding generation was John Adams , and he observed this our constitution was made only for immoral and religious people , he said .

It's wholly inadequate to the government of any other . And he wasn't the only founding father to hold this view . Indeed , james Madison wrote that our constitution requires sufficient virtue among men for self-government . See , the self-government starts in our own hearts .

Otherwise , he said , nothing less than the change of despotism can restrain them from devouring and destroying one another . Isn't that amazing insights , right , when racism is taught as a solution to racism , it's a lie and it becomes hate-filled . It goes hand in hand with replacing God . Think about what I just read .

And having flipped the power in the beginning , our founding fathers saw the power , the principalities and the rulers of this dark age , and they flipped that power pyramid on the rulers of this age . They put it on its head and they put God back in charge . And what happened ? Freedom , freedom , human dignity was restored .

Men and women again were given back their inherent dignity in their proper place as what ? Priest , prophet and king Self-determination .

You know what is the solution in schools , if you're in reality , and what should be taught certainly in Catholic and Christian schools , is what Jesus calls each of us to recognize our own sinfulness , to repent , to love God , love our neighbors itself .

What does this mean for schools that are trying to counter racism and prejudice in their student body , not reverse racism and bigotry ? Stop focusing on black and white . Just respect for the dignity of every human being , love the myriad wonder of the other person . Focus on the specific demands of love and the specific situation at the specific moment .

Hold students accountable when they fall , but hope and pray and expect good Samaritans to come out of them . When you see other people falling and hurt , you know to speak the truth . But they have a heart . These sins are . These teens are lost . They've already manifested lies and hatreds , attack on human freedom and dignity .

You know this is just spewing atheistic , marxist principles . The oppressor , the oppressed . They no longer see that the oppressor is sin and death . The oppressor is the principalities and powers and rulers of this present age . We are all oppressed by this if we don't accept redemption and salvation .

You know , it's so obvious that I smile at their naive nature , but of course it's no laughing matter , for they're losing their own hearts . The oppressor of Satan begins in the individual human heart . That's why Adamson and Madison said that I was reading Titus , the book of Titus , and let me just read you a couple parts here .

Saint Paul starts out this , and he's speaking to Titus this is why I left you in Crete . He says that you may amend what was defective and appoint elders in every town I directed you and he tells them how to do that . And you have to instruct them in sound doctrine and to confute those who contradict it .

You know , this battle has been going on for a long time In verse , in chapter one of Titus , verse 10, . For there are many insubordinate men , empty talkers and deceivers . They must be silent , since they are upsetting whole families by teaching for base gain what they have no right to teach . Isn't this the same story today ?

One of them , saint Paul , goes on , a prophet of their own said Cretans are always liars , evil beasts and lazy glutton . This testimony is true , he said . Therefore , rebuke them sharply . You know , saint Paul's reference to the character of Cretans includes a hard hitting quotation from . He's probably quoting from an early poet , and he knew their history .

He knew the poets . Seemingly the Cretans had a reputation for telling lies meant to deceive . The false teachers' arguments had been very self contradictory . If Saint Paul resorts to combating them in this way and he prefers to make them look ridiculous in the hope that they will be silenced , we have to do that today .

You know who's really good at that is Tucker Carlson and VBEC too . Vbec , rama Swami . You know they just speak the truth and they expose these lies . And Tucker Carlson is very , very good at this and he includes humor in there , and it's just exposing the craziness of someone like Justin Trudeau in Canada .

We have to be able to call this out St Paul VI , who was a pope before John Paul II , and he wrote this In Evangelio Nantiende . He said the case is full of gospel vitality and done in a language suited to people in today's time and circumstances .

We have to expose this for what it is , make them even look ridiculous if we have to , but just call out the truth . We see this in these gender ideologies . We have Leah Thomas , a man , a big man , and that the culture , the society , the principalities and the powers of this age will let him compete against women , a man against women .

And we have to accept this lie . And if you don't accept the lie , you're pushed out , you're called a bigot , you're called a racist . You don't have compassion . Well , compassion has to be spoken in the truth . You have to love people in the truth and speak the truth and love . Otherwise it's a destructive lie . Otherwise we leave people in their brokenness .

These poor kids . They're so conceited in their own minds , they know so little , parodding like useful little puppets who are being led to these lies about gender and climate and all kinds of things . Reject God , right .

Gk Chesterton would say If you don't believe in God , if you reject God , it's not like you don't believe in nothing , you will believe in anything he said . I mean , we have to accept the cow's flatulence . You know they're eating and farting in the fields . It's one cause of climate change . Fear isn't still done .

These young people and activism to go out and do what they're fed a lie , and then they're told to change and to find meaning and purpose . You know they have to go out and spew these lies . It's an old story of Marxism .

You know Aldous Huxley , who wrote the Brave New World , would say the greatest lesson of history is that we don't learn any lessons in history . They don't even know their history . They just received from their puppet masters all the way down to the orchestra leader , the serpent . It's an old story , but of course teens don't know history . Hatred never works .

Bigots and racists that they have become will never solve sin and death . Racism is not the solution to racism . The bottom line is that hatred cannot spur love and it's love of one another , rooted in the truth , that can root out hatred . It's the light that comes in to dispel hatred and evil , sin and death in the world .

I want to just read from Sunday's scripture . You can read . You know every single scripture is bringing light into this and Sunday's scriptures . But people aren't going to mass , they're not reading scripture . So we have the signs of this times . You know we have a new generation who in so many cases is rejecting God .

The only hope is for young people to hear the truth . You know , never impose on them . Just propose what's true , good and beautiful . So if you live without truth , you lack love and compassion for others . This will never solve anything . So here's Sunday's readings . I'll just skim through a couple of them .

This is the fourth Sunday in ordinary time and in the Magnificat it starts out like this what or who can free us from being anxious about the things of the world ? Jesus says , whose command even the unclean spirits obey . The people in the time of Moses begged for such a prophet .

That prophet is fulfilled definitively in Jesus Christ , whose authority astonishes the assembled crowd All in wonder of the gospel . That's what they're hearing . And then we hear in the psalm if today you hear his voice , harden not your hearts . This is what's happening in those human hearts . They reject God . They hear the truth and they're told to reject it .

See , in our fallen nature , we you know this has happened to us we hear the truth and our first instinct is to reject it . Wow , we have to adhere to the truth . We have to adhere to the Lord without distraction . We have to put those phones away .

St John of the Cross would say in order to gain this wisdom and the truth , you have to become a person of love , you have to be a person of love , and then you have to sit in silence every day . You have to allow this love , this grace , to flow into your heart . And then you have to go through mortifications , you have to fast , you have to .

What he means is detach from the things of the world . To him you must listen , because obeying the authority of Christ makes us more fully human , fills us with a burning desire for things truly great . Our hearts were made for that . The entrance Antiphon on Sunday says save us , o Lord , and gather us from the nations . This is Psalm 106 .

Gather us from the nations . This was the United States of America , gathering all these people from all these different nations to come in and be free to restore human dignity , to store freedom . And how do we do that ?

We give thanks to God's holy name , we become priests and we become prophets , we proclaim the gospel and then we become rulers over our own hearts and then we can go out and rule the world .

It goes on to say this grant us , lord , our God , that we may honor you with all our mind and love everyone in truth of heart , through our Lord Jesus Christ , your Son , who reigns and lives with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit , god forever and ever .

And the first reading is from the book of Deuteronomy and it starts out I will raise up a prophet and I will put words into his mouth . And so Moses is speaking to the people and he's talking to him about this prophet , this God himself , who will be made visible in the world , jesus Christ . And he says a prophet like me will be the Lord , your God .

Raise for you and raise up for you among your own kin , to him . You shall listen . He's talking about the Jewish people . He's speaking to the Jewish people and says from your kin , jesus will come right from the Jewish people , isn't it ? This is exactly . He goes on to say what you requested of the Lord , your God , at Herb , on the day of the assembly .

And then he goes on to say this and the Lord said to me this was well said . I will raise up for them a prophet like you from among their kin and put my words into his mouth . He shall tell them all that I command him . Whoever will not listen to my words , which he speaks in my name , I myself will make him answer for it .

But if a prophet presumes to speak in my name now he's speaking of false prophets too that I have not commanded him to speak , or speaks in the name of other gods . He shall die If today , you hear his voice , heart and not your heart . Psalm 95, .

And it goes on to say come , let us sing joyfully to the Lord , let us acclaim , let us acclaim the rock of our salvation , let us come into His presence with thanksgiving , let us joyfully sing Psalms to Him . See , there's joy in the heart of Christians , isn't it ?

If today , you hear his voice , heart and not your hearts , come , let us bow down and worship , let us kneel before the Lord who made us , for he's our God , he's our Father , he's our Papa . We are the people he shepherds , like the flock he guides . It goes on to say if today , you hear His voice , heart and not your hearts .

And it goes on oh , that today you should hear His voice , heart and not your hearts , as at Meribah , as in the days of the Masa , in the desert , where your fathers tempted me , they tested me , though they had seen my works .

See , we have seen the works in our nation and our own hearts , of Christianity , of being , of a nation then being founded on Judeo-Christian principles , of bringing God into this nation , which frees us and makes us like unlike any other nation in the world , where all people from all over the world can gather .

But you can only gather in union and communion when you understand this , because when you take God out , everything that held us together and bound us together comes apart and darkness , sin and death enter . I'm going to go to the Gospel of Mark . Then they came to Capernaum and on the Sabbath day , jesus entered the synagogue and taught .

The people were astounded at his teaching , for he taught them as one having authority and not , as the scribes In their synagogue , was a man with an unclean spirit . He cried out what have you to do with us , jesus of Nazareth ? Have you come to destroy us ? I know who you are the Holy One of God . Whoa Can you imagine ? Have you come to destroy us ?

These ? This is the demons , huh , the unclean spirits . And of course God has . Jesus has come in to destroy them , to take away their power over us . I know who you are . This man went on the Holy One of God . So Jesus rebuked him and said quiet , come out of him . The unclean spirit convulsed him and , with a loud cry came out of him .

All were amazed and asked one another what is this ? A new teaching ? With authority , he commands even the unclean spirits and they obey him . His fame spread everywhere , throughout the whole region of Galilee , but , like Saint Paul said , christianity and the Christian message is being tacked in the public square .

Matt Walsh , who you may know , very , very popular a podcaster , a Catholic man he was . He had a rally to end child mutilation and he's being attacked by the Adialdi Anti-Defamation League , but you know , they're run by the powers and the principalities of the world .

Well , they urged the counter-terrorism unit in Washington to investigate Matt Walsh and Christopher Rufo because he's speaking out against the LGBTQ kind of trans ideologies that are stealing the innocence of children , and they're investigating him for anti-LGBTQ and hate speech . Saying men can't get pregnant , literally now , is considered hate speech .

Standing up for stolen innocence of young people is hate speech . We presented stolen innocence to a local at a local library not to a local library and just invited the public to come and just exposing pornography in schools and what they're doing to steal an innocence of young people . And we we were a band from the library .

We had two other dates on there to come back and we were a band from the library . Can you imagine ? Most high schools have clubs called GA , gsas . They're gender and sexuality alliances . These clubs are where groomers , you know they can alert these troubled , lonely kids with tea and cookies and free pizza .

And next thing , you know your , your , your autistic son or daughter , someone on the spectrum is really what they go after , because they're , you know , they're looking for a place to fit in right . And now your autistic child is identifying as a child Defying his trans , and the school has been keeping it a secret from you .

Know what's going on in your kids schools , have conversations with your children so they don't join these cult indoctrination centers . You know governments and universities are stocked full of the morally bankrupt today , and so this bloated bureaucracy is like a turbo cancer and it's about to kill off its host Christians and certainly extending out that .

We all have to be worried about this because it's taken out the middle class , isn't it ? Let me ? Let me end this way . I want to end with it . Just a meditation from a short meditation from Father Haggerty and it was the meditation from this Sunday's gospel . I'm just going to read you just a little part of it .

He says in there , a man who lost his faith in God will ordinarily hide from the deeper loneliness of soul that accompanies his time of unbelief . And you see that with these children , father Haggerty goes on to say you know , these people that have rejected God are loath to face the real loneliness and inner absence .

But if we recover his religious faith , it's impossible to ignore the change within his soul . But these young people , in their , in their you know , in their screens , all day filled with you know , taken away all the silence . They don't get to their own heart and so they never experienced this freedom , no more . Father Haggerty says does he feel trapped ?

If he does accept redemption and salvation , they , they , they can spring out of this , out of this closed room of senseless partitions and blocked interest way , entrance ways in their own heart , because a door has opened , a release has taken place , and perhaps no one in this new state , he goes on to say , of soul can say whether he escaped the confinement or

if someone else has entered and ended his isolation . But what is known in his soul is he is no longer alone , he has companionship with God , the God who created him , who wants to come into his own heart . The default position is sin and death , the broad road that Jesus talks about in Matthew 7 , 14 , and you know it's the road to perdition .

And it starts here with hatred and spewing . You know the , this oppressor , oppressed , which is really the good versus evil , jesus . Jesus calls us to the narrow road , to the narrow gate , to himself . He says I am the way , the truth and the life , yes , and he invites us to unite our hearts with his heart .

I would say the one good thing about the craziness that's going on in the world today is the reality of this gospel . This nation will come apart if we reject God , If we reject the unifying principle , the only one that can really unify us in our own hearts . I will end , like I do often , with the simple solution , three-part simple solution .

But before you you get , you look at that little phone in the morning , just roll down on your knees and just be at that tree . We're all at that tree every day , that tree of the knowledge of good and evil , and we kneel there with our blessed mother and we say , yes , we accept the word , let it be done to me according to your word .

And then we get up and every temptation that comes at us all day , and we will be tempted to remember . Temptation is not a sin , and you will be attacked in this world , but just remember this use those temptations as an invitation to prayer . Constantly be open up your heart . It will move your heart to God himself , to be united with Jesus Christ .

Who , who will instill his divinity on us . Ask , seek and knock . Ask and it will be given . Seek and you will find . Knock and the door will be open . That's number two . Number three now , once you've received this divine life and love , this truth and love itself , you have to become a person of love .

You have to be kind , compassionate in a real meaning of that . The good Samaritan . See these teens spewing vitro and hatred , thinking that they're going to , they're going to solve sin and death by bringing more sin into the world . Remember , though , when we look at those young people , that we all came into a fallen world . We're all sinners .

Remember that you and I came into this world . We made many , many , many mistakes . Love them in the truth and speak the truth in love . So proclaim the gospel . We start what on our knees by doing what Priest , prophet and king ?

Again , priests were just offering everything , our own lives and all the gifts that we've been given up to God , and we thank Him for that . Then we become prophetic , don't we ? We speak the truth , we go into the invitation to prayer for these different temptations , and then we go out and speak the truth , we proclaim the gospel . And then what do we do ?

We become persons of love because we have to be king over our own hearts . First we have to have self mastery and then , only then , can we go out and build this nation back up again . Know the truth and we all have this . You know . We've been given these two things that make us different than all of the rest of creation .

We have reason , and reason , if understood properly , is always searching for the truth . What is the truth of things ? No , a man cannot become a woman when you fall for that lie . It's so obvious . Know the truth and then choose the good . What is good ? Only God , jesus said , is good . Only God is the good .

Go to God , receive the good , and then you do good . Go out and be compassionate and kind , be the good Samaritan . See our fallen nature , of our fellow human beings . Walk with them , talk with them and proclaim the gospel in your own place , in your own time , in each circumstances , and when you do that , you bring the good into the world .

I am good , I become good . Now , if we reject that , what do we do ? Even these young people ? They think they're doing something good in the world , but they're actually in bed with the evil one and they're bringing evil into the world . And then you become evil , I am evil .

It's never been easy to bring the truth , the life , into the world , the gospel into the world . It's not easy today and it wasn't easy in the past . Many , many people were martyred for this truth . Just know , life is very , very short . You know the prophets , like John Paul II , pope Paul VI , bishop Sheen , many others . You know the scriptures .

They're all proclaiming this and we have to go out into the public square and proclaim this too . Will we be attacked ? Yeah , we didn't think the day was gonna come here in the United States where we could actually become white martyrs and then red martyrs too . And you know we're seeing it right here in real time right now .

But don't forget tick tock , tick tock . Our life here is very , very short . You know , eternity is forever , but eternity doesn't mean tomorrow . Eternity means forever .

When we were exploded onto this stage and these young people were exploded on this stage in the particular time and place in history , they were exploded into this awe and wonder of a God who creates us in love , by love and for love , and we have to take that into ourselves and become persons of love .

That springs us and opens the door to eternal life for us . And but that's our hope , that's our faith . Our faith is a response to Jesus Christ who comes into the world and restores our own hearts . And then charity , love and love is the main thing . St Paul would say you know faith , hope and love , but the greatest of these is love . What is the truth ?

What are ? Expose the lies in the world and then do it in love , become persons of love . Jesus said to even love your enemies , and certain these teenagers . They certainly could become our enemies in a way . You know , bringing this into the public square , puppeting .
