#435 Our Blessed Mother In The Divine Plan; The Immaculate Conception and Her Fiat!

It's a short Advent season this year . We are going to be on to Christmas already . Interesting times , right ? Interesting times . I think more and more people are waking up to the reality that God is allowing humanity to destroy itself and if we don't stand up and speak the truth , we're going to just get washed down into the abyss , right ?

Well , of course you know God's allowing humanity suffer the punishment due to sin . And how many human beings are walking around on this earth today that have no idea that ? The slaves of sin and the slaves of Satan . It's amazing , isn't it ? They think they're free . You watch these hordes and these mobs going in and stealing .

You know maiming people , violence that we see on the streets . They think they're , they're free , right To lie , steal , murder . But they're not free , but simply pawns in a game and the Satan uses them to bring evil in the world . You would think that God would have had enough of this right , and I think time is short , you know , you know .

But his abiding love seeks out the lost sheep so that he could show them what the way to salvation to bring him in . You know , god is his love itself , his truth itself , and he seeks out his lost sheep .

It's up to you and me to use our freedom they're not as licensed to do evil , but freedom to do what , to speak the truth and to use our free will as a motor to the good .

Then to go out and do the good , to be the good for the force of good in the world , and then , when we do that , we become the good , we , we we're on this path to the universal call to holiness . This is what we have to do . This is the whole reason .

We're here for a very short time , but we cannot give right , we cannot give the good , we cannot be persons of love , we cannot be persons of truth . We won't even find the truth if we don't have it first , if we don't receive it . So this is a free gift from God to be open to that , and then we receive the good grace that we have to do that first .

This is all part of God's plan and our blessed mother has a precise place in that plan of salvation . And this is what we're going to get to today Our blessed mother in the divine plan , and talk about the immaculate conception and her fiat . That reigns this in .

But before I go there , think about this and I'm going to read something to you , and in fact I'll read this first . This is basically from Galatians and it's talking about the mother , our blessed mother , the mother the redeemer , and that she has a precise place in this plan of salvation . And this is from Galatians four versus four to six .

And this is St Paul . When the time had fully come , god sent forth his son , a man , then born of a woman , born under the law , to redeem those who are under the law , so that we might receive adoption as sons , sons and daughters . And because you are sons , god sent the spirit of his son into our hearts , crying Abba , papa , father , so beautiful .

This is God pulling us in in , not just to do things , but to union and communion with himself . This is first love . This is first love story . It's always been a love story . So let me just unpack that a little bit . You know , st Paul , it's a pretty pretty dense right A lot of times , right . But basically , again , we cannot give what we don't have .

So we came into a fallen world , into a world of sin . It wasn't our fault , right . We come into a world and right away though , we're free , and we're free , we're at the tree , and we're free to choose God or to reject him . When we choose God , god has a plan there , and it's a plan to unite us .

He sends his son to take on our human flesh , unite it again with divinity , but it's a man born of a woman . He comes into a human family . Family is so important because it's the Trinitarian sign . It's this little sign of Trinitarian love of the Father , the Son and the Holy Spirit in the world .

And because you're sons , it says God has sent the spirit of his son into our hearts .

So here's the father who sends the son , and then , when the son , when Jesus , goes up to the father , he says what he says to the disciples it's good that I should go , because then I will send the advocate , the counselor , the spirit , the Holy Spirit into your hearts , right ? And so this is what we have . We have the whole Trinity here .

And what does it want us to do ? Cry out , abba , father , as it was in the beginning , before sin . It's so beautiful , right . So we are no longer under a set of rules , under the law . See , the law might be good , but we need grace .

We're no longer under just a set of rules Because , at the end of the day , the law has no power to save us and we have really no power to do the law right . We're all sinful people . Basically it's like this . We come into the world of body and the soul , but without grace . So the devolved position in the world is sin and death .

We got there through our first person sins , right . So through Jesus Christ and our baptism , we receive again adoptions as sons of God . We receive that divine life and love . God sends the spirit of his son into our hearts . This is a concrete reality .

We encounter the spirit of God and prayer and the sacraments , the person who's got the spirit of God , who proceeds from the Father , and the Son who is love . And so we cry out Abba , papa , father . Now this body and soul of ours is infused with love , with the spirit , with grace .

This infusion gives us the potential for human freedom , to be free from sin and , ultimately , to be free from from death . It has the potential for human flourishing . That's what it gives us . Not yet , though . Not yet just because we're filled with grace , which is a big deal , but it's not yet Efficacious . We have to act .

We have to become that love in the world . We receive it . We have to make it visible . We have to be a force for good . We have to not only receive it , but we have to walk out and be the good in the world and that we become good . And Jesus said in the Gospels Only God is good . So this means that we become like God .

This is what we're called to do be in union and communion with God . Basically , it's not brain surgery , right , it's a two great commandments to be filled with divine life and love , and then , and then turn to our neighbor and become that right . But look around , we no longer receive love . We reject God's . We no longer our persons of love .

And so what's the , what's our experience in the world ? What do we see ? Hatred , violence , lies , cheating , stealing , rape , murder . I talked to people at time I reject God , I reject religion . I said well , I bet you , you can look around and you believe in sin and you believe in death . Well , think about this . God has the only plan To conquer that .

When you reject God , you reject Everything that's going to alleviate your sins and get you out of , ultimately , death right . So buckle up and get ready for the rest of today's episode . Today , on acts formerly known as Twitter , I read part of a thread between a woman defending the child in the womb and then the vitra of those two attacked her and and and .

This woman was really sticking up for herself and defending life in the womb , but you could see those that attacked her . It was there's no change in their minds , and the back and forth was exhausting and I closed out the app .

Later I would read a memo from the FBI that was released by former FBI agent Kyle Seraphim , titled interests of radically or ethnically motivated violent extremists in radical traditionalist Catholic ideology .

The memo directly cites a defamatory defamatory study Conducted by the Southern Poverty Law Center , which is a left-wing organization , on the subject radical traditional Catholicism . It seems that these , these Catholic radicals I who believe in traditional marriage , stand up for life in the womb and family will not be tolerated in today's society .

And and then biff bishops Strickland , formerly the bishop of Tyler , this beautiful , beautiful bishop Provided .

I was reading life site news with a statement About this memo from the FBI and he said sadly , the experience of Mark Howe , a father of seven , who was arrested for praying outside an abortion clinic right in front of his son and then arrested by 20 or 25 FBI agents with guns drawn in his house in front of his children , bishop Strickland went on to say ,

provides evidence that this type of surveillance is not beyond the realm of possibility . Yes , committed Catholics will defend the unborn and others who are helpless , but attacks of violent aggression are antithetical to what it means to be a radically committed , traditional Catholic . So let's pray for all positions of authority and especially for those in law enforcement .

Bishop Strickland , after making that statement and others , has been since removed as the shepherd or the bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Tyler , texas , by Pope Francis himself . The Vatican is not devolved the reasons behind his removal , but most of us know why .

He's been reading out loud from the catechism of the Catholic Church and for all this talk about dialogue and listening to the Spirit coming from the Synod of Synodality , it's clear that voices such as Bishop Strickland , cardinal Raymond Burke and others they won't be tolerated . You know , the times we are living in are dark , yet we are people of the light .

We're children of God . We must find our voice and have the courage to freely speak the truth and choose the good . Then God will send the Spirit of the Son into our hearts . So we cry Abba , father , he will give you the power and then the Course of Courage , to walk forward . Make no mistake , stake about it .

We're in a spiritual battle that Sister Lucía , the main visionary of Fatima , clearly defined in her letter to Cardinal Caffara and John Paul II when she wrote this the final battle which we're facing today , between the Lord and the Kingdom of Satan will be over marriage and the family .

But be not afraid , she had it , because whoever works for the sanctity of marriage and the family will always be fought against and opposed in every way . Because this is the size of issue . Well , why won't we be afraid then ? Because , she concluded , our Lady has already crushed His head . See , the battle is already won . We forget that sometimes .

We came into this temporal space where the battle of good and evil is going on and we get to fight for the on the side of good or evil . We have to choose good or evil . Sometimes that's easier to do , sometimes it's more difficult . We live in a very trying time now , but not certainly not the only trying time in history .

Our Lady has already crushed His head . From the beginning of human history , and despite Adam and Eve's disobedience in the Garden of Eden , eve receives the promise right there of posterity that will be victorious over the evil one , as well as the promise that she will be the mother of all the living . So this is what happens right away in Genesis .

It's so good to know this . So , after sin , again , eve is going to receive this promise of her posterity , that , coming along behind her , she's going to be the mother of all living . But there's going to be salvation . There's a plan of salvation and this is how it goes , right from Genesis , chapter 3 . After the man , adam , then , had eaten of the tree .

So Eve gave the apple to Adam . Of course , the Lord , god , called to the man and asked him where are you ? See , here I'm going to stop for a second . Right away , god searches for us , doesn't he ? He doesn't leave Adam and Eve in his sins . He knows that they're hiding . He knows that the shame is into the world .

He knows that they sinned and ushered in , really released Satan's power into the world with sin . And he says where are you ? I'm looking for you . Come out , come out , right ? Well , he's not going to come out . They continue to hide . And so Adam answered I heard you in the garden , but I was afraid because I was naked , so I hid myself .

Then he asked God , asked Adam , who told you that you were naked . You have eaten , then , from the tree of which I had forbidden you to eat . The man replied now here's the blame game . Right , listen to this blame game . That goes on . He's going to blame the woman and God in one sentence here . The woman who you put here with me .

She gave me the fruit from the tree , so I ate it . And now the blame game from the woman . The Lord God then asked the woman , why did you do such a thing ? And the woman answered the serpent tricked me into it , so I ate it .

Then the Lord God said to the serpent because you have done this , you shall be banned from all the animals and from all the wild creatures . On your belly shall you crawl and dirt , shall you eat all the days of your life . I'm going to put and here's the plan .

Here I'm going to put enmity between you and the woman , between your offspring and hers and that offspring of hers . He will strike at your head while you strike at his heel . So evil will be there , nipping away , nipping away , but God , through Jesus Christ , has the power that will strike at your head .

Of course , striking at the head is a terminal blow , right ? The man then called his wife Eve because she became the mother of all the living . So here we go , the mother of all the living . Original sin has left humanity with a fallen nature that has experienced more acutely today than perhaps at any other time in history .

The essential bond between truth and the good and freedom has been largely lost by this present day culture . That's why I spoke of in the introduction . Right , you know , you have to use your freedom to find the truth and to choose the good . That's what you use our freedom for , otherwise it becomes licensed .

Human reason , intelligence and free will , though , have become darkened by sin and the prospect of death . Hence we're not infrequently witnessing the fearful plunging of the human person into a situation of gradual self-destruction . That's what we see around us all the time . Right , our will and our reason is darkened , so we no longer know what the truth is .

We no longer even care what the truth is , and so whether we choose good or evil doesn't matter . All around us , we encounter contempt for the life of the child and the womb , and for Christians who stand to defend it . See , today , objective truth is rejected . And then so what happens ?

Our freedom alone , uprooted from any objective truth , is left to decide by itself what is good and what is evil . This goes back to all the way to even before what I read when the fall first came . When Satan goes to eat the God , tell you not to eat of that fruit .

And she goes yes , he said that if I eat of the fruit in the middle of the garden , I will die . And he goes no , you won't die . You will become like God's what , knowing what is good and what is evil , and that's what our freedom is today . This is an old , old sin . That's what I said before .

If you don't believe in God , at least start to analyze this , use your reason , even if it's dark , and to understand what has happened here . This has resulted in dramatic changes , then , in our laws , culture , popular opinion , on issues of what Marriage , family , sexual identity , gender . Can you imagine how confused we are today .

We have a Supreme Court justice that cannot even describe what a woman is today . So modern man finds himself in a conundrum , doesn't he ? He's normalized sin . He's accepted his fallen nature as normal . As a result , he has no solution to offer the staggering number of victims out in the world .

You see , these mayors and these towns , like in cities like Chicago , they have no solution at all . Today there are 60 million adults , one in four women , one in six men , the walking wounded who are victims of childhood sexual abuse .

To this number add broken marriages , children born out of wedlock , the elderly with no one to care for them , the annihilation of the child and the womb , the children being groomed and secularized today in the public school system . Men have forgotten God .

Thank goodness God has not forgotten men , his plan to bring good out of evil and offer fallen humanity a solution , a true solution . The culture of life is already in place . When he said I will put enmity between you and the woman , between your offspring and hers , he will strike at your head while you will strike at his heel .

See , jesus came into the world not to manage our sins , but with power and again , this is done . God , through Jesus Christ , has already defeated sin and death . It's already done . We can already receive the Holy Spirit in our hearts . Our Blessed Mother has already crushed His head . All this is done . It's just this little bit of time that we have .

We have to stand for the truth . Before we know it , we're out of here . But what we do today affects our eternal life and those all around us .

Can you imagine , even if you make it to heaven and you realize that because you just didn't pass this down to your children or your grandchildren and of course they didn't go pass it on and they didn't pass it on and you see generation after generation to the end all falling because of you , because of your lack of courage , because you didn't use your freedom

to stand in the truth and to speak the truth , to choose the good , to walk out into the world and proclaim the good ? At a point in time , the plan unfolds . Now when did it unfold ? With the immaculate conception of our Blessed Mother Mary , the new Eve . What does that mean ? That she was born without original sin To become the mother of the Savior .

Mary was enriched by God with gifts appropriate for such a role . The angel Gabriel , at the moment of the Annunciation , salutes her as what ? As full of grace , the angel Gabriel was sent from God to a town of Galilee called Nazareth , to a virgin patrolled , to a man named Joseph , of the house of David , and the virgin's name was Mary .

And coming to her , he said Hail favored one , the Lord is with you . But she was greatly troubled at what was said and wondered what sort of greeting this might be . Then the angel said to her Do not be afraid , mary , for you have found favor with God . Behold , you will conceive in your womb and bear a son , and you shall name him Jesus .

He will be great and will be called the son of the Most High and the Lord . God will give him the throne of David , his father , and he will rule over the house of Jacob forever and his kingdom there will be no end . But then Mary said to the angel how can this be , since I have no relations with a man ?

And the angel said to her and replied the Holy Spirit will come upon you and the power of the Most High will overshadow you . Therefore , the child to be born will be called Holy , the Son of God .

And because , elizabeth , your relative has also conceived the Son in her old age and this is the sixth month for her , who was called barren , for nothing will be impossible for God . Mary said Behold , I am the handmaid of the Lord . May it be done to me according to your word . Then the angel departed from her . Wow , that's from Luke 1 , verses 26-38 .

May it be done to me according to your word . That's our Blessed Mother's fiat , her . Yes , this marks the moment when the Holy Spirit , who had already infused the fullness of grace into Mary of Nazareth as he formed her in the womb , and now that virginal womb opens up the power and the beauty of this to the human nature of Jesus Christ , the Son of God .

Can you believe that A human person chosen to be the Mother of God , god the Father , told St Catherine of Siena it was therefore necessary , he said , to join human nature with the height of my nature , the eternal deity , so that it might be sufficient to satisfy for the whole human race .

It's so powerful going to join human nature with the height of my nature . So he does this how he takes on a body . He sends a Son who takes on a body and our Blessed Mother's womb and it's infused divinity and humanity , becomes one . Huh Becomes one .

He takes in a sense our humanity with him and then he gives himself away on the cross and he pours this out . This is what we receive in baptism , in the Eucharist , and then , when Christ rises and goes to the Father , he sends the Holy Spirit who will take what is his and give it to us .

And the Spirit resides in our heart so that we cry out Abba , father , the love of our Father , who sends for Jesus his Son and the gift of the Holy Spirit into our hearts , does so through a human woman's yes , from whom the Redeemer is born , so that we might be each joined in our own divine affiliation in the family of God .

We are joined , that's how we started out . We are now sons , adopted sons and daughters in the family of God . This is who we are John 3.16 , so that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life .

The mother of the Redeemer is already prophetically foreshadowed in the promise of victory over the serpent , which was given to our first parents after the fall into sin . This is right from the very beginning , what he told Eve . Likewise , she is the Virgin who shall conceive and bear a son whose name shall be called Emmanuel God with us .

The Son of God took a human nature from her that he might , in the mysteries of his flesh , free mankind from sin .

The Father of mercies willed that the incarnation should be preceded by the acceptance of our Blessed Mother , who was predestined to be the mother of his Son , so that , just as a woman contributed to death Eve the first Eve , so also a woman , our Blessed Mother , the second Eve , shall contribute to life . It's amazing , right Behold the handmaid of the Lord .

Let it be done to me according to thy word . Our Blessed Mother says Thus Mary , a daughter of Adam , consenting to the divine word , becomes the mother of Jesus , the one and only mediator , embracing God's salvific will with a full heart and impeded by no sin .

She devoted herself totally , as a handmaid of the Lord , to the person who worked of her Son , under him , with him , united to him by the grace of Almighty God , serving the mystery of redemption . As Saint Aaronesis says , she , being obedient , became the cause of salvation for herself and for the whole human race .

Our Blessed Mother's fiat opens this salvation for the whole human race . This is our Blessed Mother . Archbishop Fulton Sheen summarizes the teaching of countless saints and mystics when he proclaims this . This is the whole story in a nutshell Now . We've always thought , and rightly so , of Christ , the Son on the cross and the mother beneath him .

But that's not the complete picture . That's not the deep understanding . Who is our Lord on the cross ? He is the new Adam . Where is the new Eve At the foot of the cross ? If Eve became the mother of the living in the natural order , is not this woman at the foot of the cross to become another mother ?

And so the bridegroom looks down at his bride , he looks at his beloved . Christ looks at his church . He sees that he no longer calls Mary mother , he calls her her woman . She becomes the symbol of the church and Christ pours himself out to her . So this here , as Christ looks down at his beloved , and this is our Blessed Mother and St John the Evangelist .

There here , right here , is happening the birth of the church , as St Augustine puts it , and here I'm quoting him . Bishop Sheen says verbatim the heavenly bridegroom . Jesus Christ left the heavenly chambers with the presage of the nuptials before him . He knew he was coming here as the bridegroom .

He came to the marriage bed of the cross A bed , not a pleasure but a pain , uniting himself with the woman and consummated the union forever , as it were . The blood and water that came from the side of Christ was spiritual seminal fluid . And so from these nuptials , woman , where's your son ? He turns to you know , he's looking at St John the Evangelist .

This is the beginning of the church . Spiritual seminal fluid is when Jesus got hit with the lance water and blood , baptism to wash us . This is getting ready for the nuptial bath and the Eucharist to make love to us , to become one flesh with us . This is so real , so powerful , so concrete .

And Jesus left a method for this to be passed down through the ages in the bread and wine and the waters of baptism On the cross . Divine love himself has not only been perfectly poured out of a human heart , but it's also been perfectly received by a human heart and perfectly returned .

So this is the , this is that life-giving union of a man to a woman and a woman to a man . What comes out ? The fruit of a child . This is , this , is the bridegroom given himself to his bride . The church now , and the church through Mary's heart , receives him and gives his , pours , his back to him . And what comes out ? The fruit .

And we see the fruit already growing , is John the Apostle is there and there's your son . Beautiful , right , the nuptial mystery is consummated , right there . Christ gave himself up for her . The church is bride that she might be immaculate , st Paul says in Ephesians 5 , 27, .

See , this is our hope when we open ourselves to this church through the blessing to walk in and understand that we are the organic building blocks that we are the bride of Christ we receive deeply from him . This Christmas , take time to kneel with our blessed mother , look up at her son on the cross , the eternal bridegroom , and with her proclaim your fiat .

Say may it be done to me according to your word . It's such a beautiful thing , this is a great time of the year for that and chapel , maybe even stay after Mass . Get close to the crucifix , look up , vision yourself kneeling with Mary . His Christ is pouring himself down to us , as he just did on the altar at the Mass .

Say , if you had just been at Mass , what's being done on that altar is exactly this we enter into and make present , that one time eternal sacrifices , consummation of the bridegroom to his bride , and this is what we receive at every Mass . How beautiful , and may it be done to me according to your word . Hey , god bless you . Great to be with you .

Have a great Advent season and don't forget it's the universal call to holiness . This is the solution to all the evil in the world .
