Welcome to the Become who you Are podcast , the production of the John Paul Touring Null Center . I'm Jack Rigard , your host , and I'm excited you're with me . Happy Labor Day . I'm actually recording this on Sunday , but by the time I edit it and get things under wraps , I'll just go ahead and schedule it for Labor Day .
So I hope you had a great Labor Day weekend . The weather's been really good around Chicago A little dry . I guess we could use a little rain , but maybe that could happen after Labor Day , right ? So today , queer education is child abuse , and woe to me if I do not proclaim the gospel . And here you have a battle . We have to keep this in mind .
Sometimes you hear so many currents of evil today . Sometimes it's hard to get a handle on things . So , as you know , I've been trying to go above the trees periodically and fairly often , so we can see the big battle . Then we go granular and then we look for the solution right , because anybody can just report the craziness going on .
I think we all sense that . So again we get back to Sister Lucia . Lucia was the main visionary of Fatima . Of course , she didn't die so long ago 2005 , the same year John Paul II died and she said the last great battle between our Lord and Satan is going to be over marriage and the family . And again you wonder why ? Why is that ?
Why is that going to take down humanity ? And of course that's the basic building block of humanity all through history . This is where we all come from and when that gets disrupted it is critical .
And so , again , if you think of the three necessary societies from Catholic social teaching , if you picture a triangle in front of you , kind of looking like a pyramid , and at the bottom this long base , at the bottom marriage and family in one corner , and then you have the Christ in the church in the other corner , and that holds everything up , everything that's
built on top of it , which we would call polity . So culture is going to come out of there . And then polity , meaning politics , is downstream from culture . You know the people that are in politics , economics , finance all the things you see around us , all the workers you see around us .
They all come out of this moral and virtuous people that John Adams talked about when he was the one of the founding fathers , of course , writing that , the declaration of independence , writing the Constitution , and said what he said , that that this republic will only stand if it's , if it's filled with a moral and religious people , carried on by a moral , religious
people . Any other one is going to come down , and that's what we're seeing today .
So if , if , if there's an enemy out there that wants to take down not only our country but humanity in general , right , united States became the most powerful , prosperous country in the world because it was based on Judeo Christian principles , because it was based on the US Constitution , because most people believed in marriage and the family , most people believed in
Christianity , and so , at the end of the day , they brought these morals and values into everything that they did . Look at , are we sinners ? Yeah , what's their slavery and all kinds of things and robberies and murders ? Yes , yes , yes , there's always sinners in the world . But , but that doesn't take away from the way the founding fathers tried to do this .
Don't forget the founding fathers . Many of them died and gave up all their wealth for this principle of freedom , really of freedom . Where do we get our freedom from ? Our freedom comes from God himself , right ? This ? That's what you read in the US Declaration of Independence , right ?
So , anyway , so this attack is going to go on and the number one battle being fought today is over the hearts , minds and bodies of our children , and this we really start to see . This is the acceleration . It's a it's kind of like the Twin Towers .
So I'm going to give you a little analogy of the Twin Towers and and and and make an analogy to what's going on today in our country and what can we expect going forward . So , buckle up and get ready for today's episode . So the Neo Marxists what they want to do is always Marxist .
I always want to take down everything in the culture , rip it all down , start anew and build your utopia . And , of course , if you remember from my past podcast , utopia the etymology of that word , the root of that word , is nowhere , no place . Utopia never is . It's always an illusion . And they're trying to build their tower of Babel .
Well , how do they do that again ? Well , what does Satan really want to accomplish with this ? He just wants to tear down humanity , wants to destroy humanity . He wants to tear down the Amogal Day , the image and likeness of God . Of course , he can't take down God himself , but certainly he could take down mankind and parts of mankind .
The only thing that's separating us from annihilation and destructive of evil forces , of course , is God , and God already won the battle . Jesus already won the battle . For us , see , what we're dealing with here is just temporal space . Most of the people that have ever been born are gone , aren't they ? They're already gone someplace , and we're going to be boom .
Life goes in a blink of a second . Right now , though , this is our time . This is our time to stand up and decide where we're going to go for the rest of our , our eternal days . Do we do we choose God or do we choose the chaos ? Do we choose evil ? Do we choose to spend our eternity in the ravages of hell ?
And this hell starts today , and that's what we're seeing today . So why the Twin Towers ? Because remember , when the Twin Towers got hit , I don't think those of us that were around and old enough to remember will ever forget that , and I just . It was just like it was a movie , right .
When you see the plane coming , you just go oh no , this couldn't have really happened . And the plane hits the tower . Well , the plane already hit , hit us .
The plane already is attacking the United States of America per se , and this attack is evil and evil and all different currents , and there's all kinds of ways to look at this , but the base of this is again , marriage and the family and the focus today , and this is what you're seeing today , so that the marriage and the family , from the sexual revolution and
even beyond that . I mean , you go all the way back to Genesis to see this attack . Right , we rejected God and then , and then something happens in our own marriages , our own families , and you see the struggle all through scripture , all the way up into our day .
And so you know , when we start to think about the dysfunction going on in so many families and even in the church itself , you realize that that that triangle , that pyramid of the three necessary societies , the foundation has already been crumbling . So that's the plane , it hits the towers , it's starting to burn and then it starts to accelerate .
And you know the acceleration is going on in our culture . And this attack on marriage and the family , because it's focused now on the children .
This is the last , really stage , right , when you , when you can actually destroy a child in the womb , and also then , if they make it through the womb , to render them sterile , to twist and distort their minds , to use your bodies , their bodies , for grooming , sexual exploitation , to mix , to mix them up , twist and distort the way they think , the way they
feel . And then what happens ? You can control them easily , and certainly you can . You can destroy not only the relationship with one another , but you can destroy the relationship with their parents , you know . And so that starts to push away . The parents become the oppressor , they're told .
God becomes their oppressor , and now you have the state controlling and really the state is just made up of people and unfortunately , so much of that state power now is is unwieldy under . You know , if you think about it , you have enough people in the fourth branch of government .
The government's only supposed to have three branches , but now we have the state and , and the state's really what's running and running the country right , that's what holds the real power here . And when the state does that , and the state is no longer made up of moral and religious people , what happens ? You know , they become tyrants .
So that's what we're seeing today , this tyranny . And you could tell now that the plane has hit the tower . And now what happened ? Remember , we were watching it and all of a sudden , oh my gosh , you know , and boom , the whole tower just comes crumbling down .
And we're right at that precipice right now , where that whole tower , this , this whole country , our whole culture , our whole society , the fabric , is just pulling apart right now and evil has just been allowed to happen . You can see the acceleration .
When you get back to children again and you see how many parents are allowing this to happen , you go how could that be ? How could parents not not be protesting against schools ? You know , if we all were there and we said no to this , then they wouldn't be able to do this in the educational system . But we don't all say no .
In fact , you know , again , you have people that are actually voting for these people and putting this in and being behind all these LBGTQ ideologies and stuff like that . And I'm going to break that apart already because we throw that out LGPTQIA plus , plus and and it's not all the same , it's not all the same . So queer education is child abuse .
That's just one of those letters and I'm going to get into that a little bit . And what's the solution to that ? Whoa to me if I do not proclaim the gospel . So again , why do parents not be standing up against this ? Why do parents bring their own kids to drag , drag Queen story hour to drag shows .
I mean it's packed full of kids and look at , we're out there protesting . But why would we have to protest if there's nobody bringing their kids there ? Why do we have to protest ? And outside of a library for these things If ? If nobody's bringing their kid , we wouldn't have to be empty , right , but people are bringing their kids there .
So again , what's accelerating here is we do no longer have a moral , a moral and a righteous and a religious people . No people , you know , in general , you know just full of virtue . We're all full of vice . You know we've been taken down , we lost our own hearts and then we don't bring anything down to our kids and our kids are left in vacuums .
And so again , bishop Sheen's quote is so well done . I believe he said and this is going back in the 60s and 70s , right when he was saying these things only those who live by faith really know what's happening in the world .
The great masses without faith are unconscious of the destructive processes going on because they've lost the vision of the heights from which they have fallen . So we've normalized the fall , we've normalized sin and death . You know we're made up of a body and a soul and that the fall position without grace , without God , is what it's sin and death .
I mean , the utopia is what it's nowhere , it's no place , it's an illusion . Iron-hered human dignity is what separates us from this power of evil . And what does that mean ? That means that body and soul has to be infused with grace . Grace is participation in the life of God . They say yes to God .
I'm filled with grace , and then that's the potential for human flourishing . And then I walk out into the world and I bring the good into the world . I bring the good and I combat evil . When I do that , when I stand in the breach , when I stand for the for kids , when I stand up for childhood innocence , when I say no , not on my watch , no more .
That should be our model . No more , no more stolen innocence , no more grooming and exploiting , sexual exploiting children on our watch . You know , this has its foundation and the fact that we're eternal children of God . All of us , and the older ones right the generations to come before , have a responsibility to protect those little ones .
Who's going to protect them , the most vulnerable and innocent among us , if we don't do it ? But like God in Mespez says , when God is forgotten , the creature itself grows unintelligible . When you take God out , we don't know who we are anymore . And we're seeing that , aren't we ? And so Bishop Sheen again said this clearly all the way back in 1974 .
This is the year before I graduated from high school , and this is just part of a longer piece . And the longer piece is Archbishop Sheen's warning of a crisis in Christendom . And with this long-ranging spiritual vision , bishop Sheen already saw the roots of today's crisis firmly planted and growing in 1974 . And he gave us an antidote for that .
And he takes us through history and he says basically , every 500 years we go through this attack , what . I don't have the time , or I don't want to take the time today to go through the history up until now . Today he said we're in the you know that he's thinking about .
It was coming up to the second millennial and after Christ , and so he's talking about the fourth 500 year cycle . And so here we are at the year 2000 , as he was looking up to in 1974 . And as he saw it , he saw it so clearly . He says our enemy today is the world . The spirit of the world Sheen made clear Today .
We have to conform to the world or we're branded Is that amazing Must be politically correct . He said . Our Lord said you are not of the world , right ? So I have taken you out of the world . And he said , and we say to him right , wait , no , we have to win the world right , and to win it you have to be one with it .
But our Lord says I pray not for the world . We have to keep this in mind . In other words , we're in the world but not of the world . We are in the world but we're not of the world . And he means the spirit , the spirit of the world .
So Jesus was praying for his disciples and he prays for us already , because it's our job to walk into the world and purify , bring some goodness into the world and push back evil and then bring the gospel to others so that we can save them .
You know , god wants everyone to be saved , for everyone to be brought into this family and and but it's this the easiest way to fall off the log is what is worldliness to be captured up by the world ? And this is what so many parents are doing , this is so many people are doing .
They are sitting in that proverbial pot with the frog and they're sitting in that toxic , toxic stewage and they just don't even realize that they've been indoctrinated to . So it's , you know , it's . It's so simple to fall into the world and it could be justified for 1000 reasons .
How many times I hear people say oh Jack , I just don't have time to do anything about this . So I'd love to go to a meeting , but I just don't have time . I'd love to do something about it , but I just don't have time .
And while it does , the plane already hit the tower and the and it's going to start to crumble now and they're not going to be ready . So this is our attack today . Sheen saw this as one of the basic causes of our degeneration , of our death . We're dying . He said Well , what about it ? What's the answer ? And this was again 1974 .
And since then , of course , the testing pressure has increased , hasn't it ? It's accelerating , the building is getting hotter and hotter and hotter and and everything's starting to crumble . So the answer ? Bishop Sheen said this . He said these are great and wonderful days in which to be alive .
He said I thank God that I can live in these days , because these are the days of testing and all of us are being tested . What's the solution ? I am . We all have to find a way to become holier , to become a union and community . We got in that word holiness right . That's not just a word .
We have to do this because if we want to come into eternal union and community , it begins today . This is our test today . You know , once , once we're out of here , once , once we slip on that banana peel and we're out of here , that's it , you don't get to go back . So he said it's , it's . It's a wonderful time because it's these days of testing .
Sheen explained it was easy to be a Christian in the three decades before his talk . The atmosphere was Christian , he said . The morals are Christian . There was no great problem in adapting ourselves to a Christian society .
But now , when everything is turned around these days , when the masks have got to come off and we reveal ourselves just as we really are , these towers are going to come down . You're going to know who you are . You're going to stand there naked , right Today , the currents against us , he said .
And today the mood of the world is go with the world , go with the spirit . He said listen , dead bodies float downstream . Only live bodies can resist the current . And so the good Lord is testing us and he is testing Western Christians with worldliness , and how many of us are falling .
Would Bishop Sheen be surprised at how far the decadence and corruption have piled up today ? I mean , the schools were not full of this garbage pure garbage as they are today in the libraries . The pornography addictions , look , all this stuff has been going on .
It's just that the towers were hit , but now they're accelerating all through , and when we get this down to our kids and we don't do anything about it , it just shows us all how dark it's become .
So I want to talk about queer education is child abuse , because this is what we have in our schools today these LBGTQ , ia Plus and social , emotional learning , etc . Etc .
Well , dr James Lindsay in New Discourses , which I highly recommend I mean he's really got a good mind on his shoulder and he's really combating these neo-Marxists and he's fearless with it and so he had an article Queer Education is Child Abuse .
And I really want to touch on this because we have to see this for what it is , because queer theory is just non-normative , anything that's normal neo-Marxist thought .
Take down marriage , take down the family , destroy the child , destroy , render him sterile if they make it through , you know , break down the culture , you know , get rid of God , get rid of the church , infiltrate the church , they know , then the rest of this will weaken and then they could come in , and the state could come in .
And the state's doing the same thing with its power . And don't forget , you know . You say , well , how can all this be orchestrated ? How can the great reset all around the world be orchestrated ? Because this is the prince , the powers and the principalities . We're not just dealing with human beings here . This is a battle between our Lord and Satan .
We all become just pawns in this if we allow evil to use us or we walk into a love story . We walk into a love story . What's true , good and beautiful . You know , every time we evangelize it's because of love . I mean , why do I do this ? You know , why does anybody do this ? Why do we stand up in the breach when we're going to be attacked ?
You know we do this out of love . And I'm going to get to the readings a little bit from today , which is Sunday , and you see the spirits of the prophets and Saint Paul and Jesus himself talking about this . But let me just go through queer education .
I'm just going to abbreviate this , but you start to understand the danger of what's going on in our schools . And Dr Lindsay says this queer theory , which nearly all of the gender and sexuality education in America is ultimately based on , has nothing to do with the LBG education .
This is evident to anyone who reads it , not only because its goals are diametrically opposed to LBGT acceptance and normalization in our society , but because they say so themselves very specifically over and over again .
One example , quoting Emily Drabinski , the opening this is an openly queer and Marxist current president of the American Library Association , and this is from her 2013 paper , queering the Catalog . This is queer theory . How she defines it . Queer theory is distinct from lesbian and I'll unpack this in a second from lesbian and gay studies .
It can hardly be more blunt . She adds where lesbian and gay studies takes gender and sexual identities as an object of study , queer theory is interested in how those identities come discorsively and socially into being and the kind of work they do in the world . Her conclusion lesbian and gay studies is concerned with what homosexuality is .
Queer theory is concerned with what homosexuality does . So let me unpack this . You look at all these alphabet letters LGBTQ . Why do they keep adding them Because the rest of them are just meaningless . And it just made to confuse and accept ideologies Lesbian , gay , bisexual the first three letters .
Let's separate those , right , because what she's talking about here is what is lesbian and gay . Studies is concerned with what homosexuality is . So I'm lesbian . Okay , it's two women , right , that find each other attractive . Gay . Two men , bisexual , a man or a woman these are sexual attractions , right ?
You can call them sexual deviations , sexual attractions , you can call them anything you want , but I would separate those right now . And what queer theory is ? It's totally separate from this . And I would add to Dr James Lindsay that also the T is separated from this .
So why , in my words now , why would we add the T and the Q to LBG or to LGB Again , lesbian , gay , bi okay , so those again are attractions , but there's no confusion there . You're talking about what homosexuality is , if you're going to define it , right .
Two women attracted to each other , two men attracted to each other , people that are attracted to both men and or women , right , and so those are sexual attractions , but you're not confused about who you are in your body . I'm a male , I'm a female .
Whatever this has to do with external attractions , of course they start internally , of course , and I have these attractions but I express them externally , but I'm not trying to change my body , I'm not trying to change the other person's body . These are attractions . You know , I have gambling addictions , I have drug addictions , I have sugar addictions .
I mean , you know , everybody's attracted to something right , we're all , we all have all these things and and so I'm not going to , I'm not going to get any further into that . But when you start to get into the T , what is the T , the trans ? Now , this is an illusion . This is much different .
This is telling a young boy , and I'm in and again , focus here with me on childhood innocence . These are young kids , preschool , kindergarten , first grade , second grade , third grade , fourth grade . These are innocent kids should be out jumping rope and playing football , laughing and playing .
And now we're indoctrinating , we're , we're allowing these real deviates and these moral , you know , just perverts . I mean , you know , perverts is probably not too strong of a word . I was looking for another one in my mind , but you know , I get so disgusted with what they're doing to kids .
I have seven grandkids and , at the end of the day , what I see , what they're doing , especially , you know these poor girls . You know in their hearts in this pornographic , twisted and distorted culture and they seek love in their hearts and this just attacks them . So what is the T ? It's an illusion .
It's telling a young child that they may have been born in the wrong body , that they could actually change their sex and makeup , and it's a total illusion . And then and then queer . Now let's get into queer . Queer doesn't mean what queer is , just a queer theory of non normative . Queer is that ? Is that that a press or oppress ?
It's just a way to divide people . It's saying anything . This is how evil this is anything in the culture , any moral values that John Adams and James Madison talked about or God talks about , or we try to instill in our children and families , any hetero , normal marriage in a family , the nuclear family it's all going to break that down .
It's saying none of that's normal . Morality is not normal . Your sex should be liberated , children's sexuality . They should be able to enjoy sexual pleasure even as infants . And you know I mean this is amazing what they're trying to do . So queer is not an identity like gay , lesbian or bisexual .
It is , by definition and explicitly and intentionally activist identity . When you start to think about the T and especially the Q , q plus . Right now you're getting to activism . And this is what they want . They want to twist and distort the minds of young people , and you know , and at the end they can feel them , they can inject these ideologies in them .
And so what does that do ? It tears apart the family . It gets in between parents , and now the parents are the oppressor . Again . God's the oppressor .
Anything normal that they've been taught is wrong , but even sicker , even more , bringing it down in the garbage , is the attack on the children themselves , to attack their minds , their bodies and to try to separate their very souls from their bodies . It's really something you know .
Unlike gay identity which , though deliberately proclaimed , an act of affirmation , is nonetheless rooted in the fact of homosexual object or a choice , well , queer identity need not be grounded in anything truthful or in any stable reality . As the very word implies , queer does not name some kind of natural kind or refer to some determinant object .
It acquires its meaning from its oppositional relation to the norm . It acquires its meaning from its oppositional relation to the norm . Queer is , by definition , whatever is at odds with the normal , the legitimate , the dominant . There's nothing in particular , to watch . It necessarily refers . It's an identity without an essence .
Again , if you think about that triangle , if you think about our country based on Judeo-Christian principles , the church and then a marriage in the family is the building cell of all society . The nuclear family is the most potent force for raising children to be moral and religious people , to be instilling values .
When that breaks down , all hell breaks loose right , and so now you start to see the acceleration , the crumbling of our whole country . So , and what is queer theory ? What does it does ? It disrupts them . It's by definition . We allow this into our schools , we allow this into the hearts of our children .
The definition of queer and queer theory , as we see it , is that which resists and challenges all norms and expectations of normalcy .
So bringing into educational materials into schools based on queer theory , including so-called gender critical perspectives that separate sex and gender as though they are completely different phenomenon , is meant to make children activists in this disruptive , this stabilizing mode of misunderstanding the world .
That is no place in our educational institutions , especially when it's happening outside of parental knowledge and approval . You think we're exaggerating here . Here's what the educational paper Drag Pedagogy arguing for drag Queen's Story hours in schools says about this matter . Ultimately , the authors proposed a drag pedagogy .
Pedagogy meaning a teaching right , getting this teaching down . Drag pedagogy performs a performative approach to queer pedagogy . That is not simply about LGBT lives , but living queerly . These italics are in the original . It says living queerly . So this is coming out from an article that they write , so nobody's hiding about this anymore . This is plain .
The authors elaborate about this notion of living queerly by stating it may be that the Drag Queen Story Hour is a friendly family friendly , they say , in the sense that it's accessible , inviting to families with children , but it is less a sanitizing force than it is a preparatory introduction to alternative modes of kinship . What they try to do .
Right , they call Drag Queen Story Hour family friendly In the sense of family . It's an old school queer code to identify and connect with other queers on the street . So it's a slang . And when they say family friendly they're laughing in the faces of families and parents that are taking their kids to . That , james Lindsay says in his professional work .
He said I struggle to find a word more adequate than the official disallowed word . We're not supposed to say grooming . But he says this is the most adequate word is grooming , to describe a preparatory introduction to alternative modes of kinship based around living queerly . So these are unacceptable projects .
Hidden behind a street slaying pun , and the objectives of queer theory and education describe unambiguatively in their own words , as an art form , they tell us , drag is all about bending and breaking the rules , and so its aims are totally different from a normative classroom Because they insist in a broader context .
Fostering collective unruliness also helps children to understand that they can have a hand in changing their environment . This , they also tell us , allows both drag performers and children to recognize the arbitrarily arbitrariness of rules and engage in queer play and feel their fantasies . I mean , it's amazing , right .
So , as explained by Hannah Dyer , a Canadian researcher , in a paper titled Queer Future and Childhood Innocence , she says the innocence of children and the established understanding of child development psychology all needs to be queered .
We need to twist and distort right , change their childhood innocence , because , she says , childhood innocence can injure the child's development and offer we had , a new mode of inquiry that insists upon embracing this child's queer curiosity and patterns of growth .
You know , queer theory in education is therefore so destructive because here's what it tries to do it tries to rewrite the innocence of children , and it tries to say that children listen to this . The innocence of children is an evil that prevents children from developing queer curiosity and patterns of growth . This is satanic .
And so this takes us right back to the tree of the knowledge of good and evil , right Genesis 3 . I'm just going off the top of my head , but Eve takes from the tree and she doesn't take from the tree .
Yet Eve is by the tree and Satan's tempting her to take the apple from the tree and she says no , god said not to take that , because if we take from that app , you know the knowledge of good and evil . We take that fruit , we ingest it into ourselves and we will die . Death will come to the world , in essence . And Satan says what ?
No , you certainly will not die . No , you will become like God's and you will know what is good and what is evil . You will be able to call good evil and evil good . This is exactly what's happening . Look at , this is satanic .
This gets down to the very core of the battle that I started with between marriage and the family , and you know , and it's between our Lord and Satan . And if we don't hold this together , if we don't understand what marriage and the family is and the power and the beauty of that sacramental sign . Satan is just destroying it and we're allowing it to happen .
So queer theory again . Listen to this in education . Just think about standing before that tree . I'm calling good evil and evil good . And then she took from that fruit and this has been handed down to us all . This time you can be like God's . And this is what these people say , because they want to rewrite the innocence of childhood .
They call the innocence of childhood an evil . See , I can call good evil and evil good . That prevents children from developing queer curiosity and patterns of growth .
James Lindsay goes on to say none of this is remotely appropriate and the inherently activist position it takes and seeks to instill in our children and though that activist position damages them enough in many respects it's the least of its problems because really , what it is and I'm not quoting here it's an attack on the identity of that child himself .
So , james Lindsay goes on , it is at the least deranged , though is more properly calc , caulctic and evil . It is far past time to give these damaging materials and the people pushing them into our schools the benefit of the doubt . It's long past time to say no more . Not any of it . It all has to go .
But even if it goes now , if we could go , the damage has been done to so many children and so many of their parents , and even their parents' parents . This is going to be very hard to turn around . So I think the best thing we can do is get close to God , and we have to woe to me if I do not proclaim the gospel .
We have to be proclaiming the gospel here because we all have to take a deep breath and realize that this fall , this , what we're experiencing , this breakdown of the culture and society , is all of our faults in a certain way . How many of us have not done what we should and passed this idea of our faith down to our kids and to our grandkids , etc .
Why is the sexual exploitation of children so important to the godless ? Because it's attacking again the very foundation of the Amago Day . From the beginning there's a cosmic explosion of trinitarian love . Remember , right away in the Garden of Eden , it's been prepared for a wedding feast before sin came into the world . And God said what ?
Let us make man in our likeness , in our image , after our likeness , and God created mankind in his image . In the divine image , he created them . How Male and female . He created them Smiling upon the newly married couple . God blessed them , saying to them be fertile , multiply and fill the earth , bring forth children , for they are very good .
Well , right here , empty the tempter , the Mysterium and Equitatus , a Latin phrase which means the mystery of evil . Satan doesn't have his own clay . He can only twist the sword and seek to destroy the Amago Day , the sign that God created good . Now , the serpent was the most cunning of all the animals that God had made .
The serpent asked the woman did God really tell you not to eat from any of the trees in the garden ? And the woman answered the serpent we may eat of the fruit of the trees in the garden . It is only about the fruit of the tree in the middle of the garden that God said you shall not eat of it or even touch it , lest you die .
But the serpent said to the woman you certainly will not die . No , god knows well that the moment you eat of it , your eyes will be open and you will be like God's , who know what is good and what is evil . This is the attack . This is the attack . This is the Amago Day . God creates us in his image , his likeness .
This is why it's the base of that triangle I was telling you about , and if that comes down , the whole structure starts to come down . So my heart goes out to young people who are being pulverized by a twisted , distorted and very toxic culture .
They have been , and so have many of us , right , in fact , most of the people I speak to have been repeatedly lied to about the very basics concerning the meaning of marriage , the family , authentic love , the true meaning of sex and sexuality , and more and again . Particularly disturbing . This is the focus .
We have to focus on this , because this is this is the towers coming down . It's the sexual indoctrination , exploitation and grooming of the most innocent and vulnerable among us , our children .
It's taking place on a mass scale in the public school system , by Netflix and Disney , coming right into our homes , by pornography , and even in the libraries it's amazing , the public libraries , right . That's why I present Stolen Innocent .
It's a community awareness event , along with Crimean Investigator Thomas Hampson , on what's really happening into our school and our public school system .
And I just want to tell you , if you're not reading scripture every day , if you're not going to mass and the sacraments , if you're not praying every day , if you're not praying the rosary , you're leaving yourself vulnerable , because , at the end of the day , this is a fierce spiritual battle . It takes place in every single human heart .
And so let me just breeze through a couple of the readings , just from today , because you'll see , as you're reading scripture every day , this is an old story , and why do we have to proclaim the gospel Whoa to me if I do not proclaim the gospel ? That's from St Paul , of course , from 1 Corinthians , I believe that's like 619 .
I could be wrong there , but this is a reading , the first one , from the prophet Jeremiah , because don't we all lack courage sometime when we're tired of getting beat up and pushed around by the culture ? Just like Bishop Sheen said , you know to be not politically correct , right ? We get beat up and censored and canceled . Well , listen to the prophet Jeremiah .
He says this you duped me , oh Lord , and I let myself be duped , but you were too strong for me and you triumphed all the day , and I'm an object of laughter . Everyone's mocking me Wherever I speak . Whenever I speak , I must cry out . Violence and outrage is my message . The word of the Lord has brought me derision and reproach all the day .
He's being attacked right for bringing this message out . I say to myself . Then Jeremiah says I'm not gonna mention God anymore , I'm not gonna mention him , I will speak no more about his name . But then it becomes like a fire burning in my heart and prison to my bones . I grow weary holding it in . I cannot endure it .
You duped me , lord , and I start to speak again . The word of the Lord , huh , and in Psalm . This is Psalm 63 . Think about this . This is what's going on in our hearts and in our kids hearts . We have to protect them . They're innocence right now . They know this when we don't pass down the faith .
When they're young like this , when they're innocent , when they're open to this , god is just ready and they're ready for God , because this isn't our DNA , this isn't just information , this is what's running through our blood . And you get to the children . We have to get to them earlier and earlier now , because the culture takes them earlier and earlier .
But this is what the core of our hearts is . Psalm 63 . And the same thing with our children . When I pray with my kids and my grandkids , it's amazing Especially the little ones . How fervently they'll close their eyes and prayerfully they look . I mean God , just you know he's gonna really punish this off . We don't stand up for our kids . So here it is .
My soul is thirsting for you , oh Lord , my God . Oh God , you are my God , whom I seek . For you , my flesh pines and my soul thirsts like the earth parts , lifeless and without water . Thus I have gazed toward you in the sanctuary to see your power and your glory , for your kindness is greater good than life . My lips shall glorify you .
My soul is thirsting for you , oh Lord , my God . Thus will I bless you while I live , lifting up my hands , I will call upon your name and with the riches of a banquet shall my soul be satisfied . And with exultant lips , my mouth shall praise you . My soul is thirsting for you , oh Lord , my God .
And finally , you are my help and in the shadow of your wings I shout for joy . My soul clings fast to you . Your right hand upholds me , so beautiful , right . Our souls are thirsting for God . If we don't tell our kids that they're easily indoctrinated , they say you know , you have something that you're looking for . Isn't it Something more ? What is that ?
And they'll tell them it's . You know , maybe you're born in the wrong body , maybe you're this , maybe you're that , maybe you need to sexualize this . I mean , you know , it's really sick and distorted stuff . If we don't fill them , don't leave them in a vacuum . A reading from the first letter saying Paul this was all at today's mass . I urge you .
Saint Paul says , brothers and sisters , by the mercies of God , to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice , holy and pleasing to God , your spiritual worship . Do not conform yourselves to this age , but be transformed by the renewal of your mind that you may discern what is the will of God , what is good and pleasing and perfect . The word of the Lord .
Isn't that something that we offer our bodies as living sacrifices ? We're temples of the Holy Spirit . Our bodies make visible our souls and God who is within our souls when we open ourselves up to him . So do not conform yourselves to this age and Paul's speaking about his age . But this is the age that goes on .
This battle , it goes on from generation to generation to generation . So every generation needs to know the story and we just skipped a couple generations and we're wondering why the towers are ready to come down right before the gospel .
May the father of our Lord , jesus Christ , enlighten the eyes of our hearts , that we may know what is the hope that belongs to our call . We feel this inside and Jesus said whoever wishes to come after me must deny himself . Jesus began to show us disciples . This is from Matthew 16 . You can get this off a magnificat .
You know , I get it for 1995 or 1999 , a year on my iPad . It's nothing and it's so rich it's got all kinds of readings , but anyways , this is the gospel from today . Jesus began to show us disciples that he must go to Jerusalem and suffer greatly from the elders , the chief priests , the scribes , and be killed and on the third day be raised .
This is Jesus who came into the story to do what ? To take on sin and death . He came to unite humanity and divinity back together again in his body . What Adam and Eve , what I read before rejecting God , right , we became like cut flowers .
Jesus comes into the story , takes on a human body , takes on our own , all of our flesh in a way , and when he offers that to us , unites it , he offers it up . He overcomes sin , he overcomes death , because next to that cross is what an empty tomb , he has risen .
This is what we do when we unite ourselves to him , to his cross , and we carry his cross and he carries our cross with us . We have to get into this in a deep , deep way , and so again .
So that's why Jesus began to show us disciples that he must go to Jerusalem and suffer greatly from the elders , the elders , the chief priests , the scribes , and be killed and on a third day be raised . Then Peter took Jesus aside and began to rebuke him . God forbid , lord , no such thing shall ever happen to you . What does Jesus do ?
He says to Peter get behind me , satan . You are an obstacle for me , for you are thinking not as God does , but as human beings do . Then Jesus said to his disciples whoever wishes to come after me must deny himself , take up his cross and follow me , for whoever wishes to save his life will lose it . Whoever loses his life for my sake will find it .
What profit would there be for one to gain the whole world and forfeit his life ? For what can one give in exchange for his life ? For the Son of man will come with his angels in his Father's glory , and then he will repay all according to his conduct . The Gospel of the Lord , this is Peter . Peter's probably scared himself .
He says if the Lord himself is going to be killed , suffer greatly and be killed . He says , wow , why not me ? I'm a follower of Christ ? He's probably worried for himself . He says , you know , but what does Jesus say ? No , you're going to have to follow me too .
This is the story of our lives , huh , and don't forget that the courage and the strength doesn't come from ourselves . It comes from what . It comes from Christ himself . I'm going to go on just a little bit longer here , because Pope Benedict XVI wrote when he talks about evangelization we cannot give to others without giving up our own lives .
That's what Jesus is teaching us here , that we have to become united to him and then we have to give up our own lives for the sake of others . If we don't do this right , then the power of the Word is not going to be with us , just trading information .
We have to become so one with God , so open to God , so open to that ache and filled with that love . Right , and then we walk out into the world , but with his courage , with his strength , with God himself on our side . You know , I acknowledged . Let me tell you just a little story .
Right , I acknowledged a 16-year-old girl whose hand was up and she asked me could you address mental illness ?
We my small team and I had just concluded our first presentation to a group of teens in a neighboring parish and I had asked those kids if they had anything specific on their minds that they would like us to address when we came back the following week .
She wanted to talk about anxiety , depression , her concern over the fact that many of her peers were talking about suicide . Many young people today are growing up without a foundation in their faith . They're left in a vacuum that soon becomes a wasteland . The only message they receive from the culture is to forget about God , the church and the Bible .
There is no objective truth and in this vacuum of moral relativism , they are an accident of history , and so they're told they're at liberty to do whatever they feel is right , to even create themselves in their own image . You're not created , they're told . There is no God .
You're just an accident of history , and so there is no ultimate meaning and purpose for your lives . Can you imagine being told that ? And then you might even be in the wrong body . Everything has ultimate meaning or purpose .
But here's the problem , and this is why we're seeing the anxiety , depression , the suicide that this young lady is talking about , the mental illness because something doesn't function well within the human person in a world without meaning and purpose . Baboom , baboom , the human heart . The human heart .
Benedict , pope Benedict XVI wrote human life cannot be realized by itself . Our life , he says , is an open question , an incomplete project . Everything still has to be brought to fruition and realized . And the fundamental question for each of us is this how will this be realized ?
Becoming human , how does one learn the art of living , which is the path to holiness ? To evangelize means to show this path , to teach the art of living . And how do we do this ? We proclaim Jesus , because Jesus says at the beginning of his public life I have come to evangelize the poor . This is from Luke 4.18 .
What this means is this I have the answer to your fundamental question . I will show you the path of life , the path to happiness or , better yet , I am that path . This is why we need a new evangelization , as John Paul talked about and Pope Benedict XVI talked about .
He said if the art of living remains unknown , like they are , to these young people , all else falls apart , the whole tower falls apart . But this art is not the object of any science . This art can only be communicated by one who has life , by he who is the good news , by he who is the gospel personified , jesus Christ .
And Jesus Christ takes upon a cross and pours his life out to all of us to redeem us and save us . And next to that cross we look over and it's the empty tomb . It's resurrection . This is the only hope . You want a utopia ? Well , there is none in this world of sin and death . Where does this end of this trans movement and querying movement ?
Where does it end ? It ends nowhere . You know , we have left far too many young people in a wasteland . The number one battle again being fought today is over the hearts , minds and bodies of our children , who are being pulverized , groomed and exploited .
Particularly disturbing again is the sexual exploitation of children taking place on a mass scale in the public school system . Then we do stop and take a deep breath as the people of God , and have the courage to stand and avoid and say no more , no more stolen innocence on my watch . Only then will evil be pushed back .
You know , it's my experience that young people respond when you witness to the truth and love and love them in the truth . The problem is that their parents do not . Lacking faith themselves , their parents have accepted the lies concerning , again , the very basic meanings of marriage , the family , true love , the meaning of sex and sexuality and more .
As evil increasingly raises its ugly head because we haven't passed down the faith and we're not praying , we're not going to the sacraments right , we're not pushing back on evil , so evil is just left to raise its ugly head in our culture and in the world , and the apathetic stance taken by many parents who are not passing down this positive faith to their
children leaves their children vulnerable to those who would manipulate , exploit and rob them of their innocence . It is time . Pope John Paul II loved young people and he was always bold and courageous in defending them and then challenging them . His words to them at World Youth Day stand in stark contrast to the message that the culture is telling them .
When he said this , he goes young people , you know that your life has meaning To the extent that it's given away is a sincere gift of self to others . He's saying get out of your selfishness . You want to find life you want to find meaning . Be a gift to others .
Look up at the cross , take that , receive that deeply into yourself and then go out and become that love to others . See , we cannot give life to others without giving up our own lives .
In a book of John Paul II crossing the threshold of hope , he said this the call for a great relaunching of evangelization enters again and again into the present life of the church in a number of ways , he said . In truth , it's never been absent . The woe to me if I do not preach the gospel . One Corinthians , chapter 9 , verse 16 , he went on .
In its ever renewed encounter with man , evangelization is linked listen to this to generational change . Generations come and go which have distanced themselves from Christ and the church , which has have accepted a secular model of thinking and living or upon which such a model has been imposed on them . Meanwhile , the church is always looking toward the future .
She constantly goes out to meet the new generations , and new generations clearly seem to be accepting with enthusiasm what their elders seem to have rejected . What does this mean ? It means that Christ is forever young . Listen , do not be afraid . John Paul would say go out , speak the gospel . Speak the gospel and be courageous about it .
There is no other way to do this . And let me finish with this . This comes from Pope Paul the Sixth Evangel Evangeli Nutiandi , which is an evangelization in the modern world , and it's all animated by love . When we love our neighbor , when we love God , we come into our families . We bring this love especially to the children .
And he says this this is in number 79 of that beautiful work on evangelization in the modern world by Pope Paul the Sixth . He says this and this is how I'm going to close the work of evangelization presupposes in the evangelizer an ever-increasing love for those whom he is evangelizing .
That model evangelizer , the apostle Paul , wrote these words to the Thessalonians , and they are a program for all of us . He wrote With such yearning love . We chose to impart to you not only the gospel of God but our very selves , so dear had you become to us . What is this love ? It is much more than that of a teacher .
It is the love of a father and again , it is the love of a mother . It is this love that the Lord expects from every preacher of the gospel , from every builder of the church . A sign of love will be the concern to give the truth and to bring people into unity .
Another sign of love will be a devotion to the proclamation of Jesus Christ , without reservation or turning back . This is the sign that we become to the world , the sign of love . Hey , god bless you . Be bold , be not afraid . Read the scripture every day and don't forget those three things that I always mention .
Before you get up in the morning , before you look at that phone , get down on your knees and say be it done to me according to your word . We kneel with our Blessed Mother at the Annunciation . We open up our hearts and just say Jesus , you guide us in this . I don't know too much , but I know I need you . I know that my heart thirsts for you .
Then , second , once you do that , the temptations are going to continue to come at you . Maybe they'll even accelerate . Don't forget that building is burning . And every time you're tempted , don't hide from those temptations , but open those temptations up . First of all , in the confessional , get the sacrament of grace , but always open them up .
I'll draw out the day in prayer . Have those temptations Not become an enemy anymore , but become an invitation to prayer and over time , god will come into your heart and He'll start to take even some of those images away from pornography , addictions and all kinds of different things . It's amazing , but it's going to be a battle .
And then the third thing you have to go out . You have to be efficacious . At the same time , you're starting to heal . Go out and be kind , be kind to the next person you see . Go out of your way to bring good things into the world . Teach catechism . It doesn't matter if we're broken , because Christ is going to infiltrate your very heart .
He's going to come into your heart . This infiltration is an infiltration of mercy and love and unity , and a unity and a communion with all of our brothers and sisters . What a beautiful way to live . What a beautiful way to live . Hey , god bless you . Thanks for being with me . Talk to you soon , everybody . God bless you .
