#392 Bishop Fulton Sheen: The Cunning Plots of the Antichrist

You know , you could walk outside and and I would think that there's no care in the world , the , the sky is beautiful , the clouds , the sun peeking through there , it's . You wonder where this manmade evil comes from . And then you realize , wow , I snapped too and I go .

Wow , you know , I attend schoolborn meetings in this area , even out in the far west suburbs of Chicago . And this woke and the sexual exploitation of our kids , oh my gosh . We have to stand up and battle this and it's really unfortunate . But if we allow another generation to go down , we will lose the nation .

So that's what I've been talking about , the , for the last few years , on and off right . And so what is this ? You know , the world elite seeks a great reset , a new world order , a new tower of Babel , huh , to usher in the latest city of man , that they come up with a new utopia and to keep us all on our toes .

We have the pandemics and the climate change and all this stuff , to you know , keep us in fear , put on masks , get the facts , do this , do that . It's amazing what they'll come to right now .

And so , once again , standing away though of that self appointed task of theirs to conquer the world , is this pest , pesky remnant , the small , what Bishop Sheen calls this minority , this , the lowly of the world , clinging to their faith in this , in this savior they call Jesus Christ , who clearly recognize the lie , the lie and the evil that's going on .

They recognize the follow , the folly of human characteristics , right , blinded by pride , you know , with the pride parade parades and the pride months , who attempt to play God and the world elites . They were actually behind them and using all these people as pawns in their game , right while they rape and pillage the world .

You know those self appointed and light ones who stand before the tree of the knowledge of good and evil and succumb to Satan's temptation . It's an old story , isn't it ? God knows well that your moment of you , you eat of it . Your eyes will be opened and you will be like God's , who know what is good and what is evil . Right , the elite and the globalists .

They're playing for all these people who are like pawns in the game . They divide you into an L , a , g a , b a , t a , q , an , I , an , a , a double spirit , whatever that is , or by race , whatever they can do to just get everybody going at each other's throats .

And then they just manipulate the chessboard a little bit and they can throw in a pandemic here , a little climate change action over there , and they can just control things , and then they just rape and pillage and take the money . Huh . Well , what's going on , right ? And what does Bishop Sheen say about this ? He says he says this is degeneration .

We see this death around us . We're dying . And what does he mean by that ? We've taken God out . We've taken it out and opened ourselves up for evil . Huh , and that's what we see around us today . You know , when God has forgotten the creature itself human beings we grow unintelligible . So what's the answer ?

Bishop Sheen says these are great , wonderful days in which to be alive . I thank God that I can live in these days , because these are the days of testing . He said this in 1974 . Well , I'll tell you what that testing has increased . The pressure has increased . I wish Bishop Sheen was around today , because so much of what he said is coming to fruition today .

So buckle up and we'll dig . In today's episode . It's interesting that Bishop Sheen , in a book that I'm reading on Communism and the conscience of the Western world , that that are really his thoughts and his meditations in Communism .

He talked about this a lot and he said this is a testing testing with worldliness and many of us are falling and many of us are failing . Well , would Bishop Sheen be surprised on how far the decadence and the corruption are piled up today ? It's amazing what we're doing , especially to the most innocent and vulnerable among us , our children , right ?

Well , he says you know these examples exist . Every 500 years or so we have these cycles , and I'm not going to get into all of that because I covered some of that last time on Monday August 14th , and this is a continuation of that episode . So he gives us an example of the Israelites being tested in the desert . You remember .

So they , you know God rescues them from enslavement to the Egyptians . He pulls them through , but now he's getting them ready in the desert because he wants them to be his people a covenant like a marriage , and they've got some work to do out there . So he's got them in the desert and he's trying to purify them .

But every time , every time he makes some progress , they go the other way . You know , one day they'll be worshiping the golden calf and the next day they're complaining about the food or whatever it is . You know . And so you know .

It's really interesting because today , as I'm recording this , is a Thursday , so if you listen to this on Friday when I release it , I'm recording this on Thursday , and so the reading for today is really from Joshua , and Joshua is who took over for Moses , right ? So Moses dies in the Exodus story we've been following and Joshua comes in .

And so , with Joshua coming in , the Lord just said to Joshua this is from the readings today . So , joshua , chapter three , the Lord said to Joshua today I'm gonna begin to exalt you in the sight of all Israel , that they may know that I'm with you , as I was with Moses .

Now command the priests carrying the ark of the covenant to halt in the Jordan when you reach the edge of the waters . So here they are , they're escaping . Now , remember , moses died and he was told by God that that generation was not gonna come into the promised land . They weren't worthy of that . Now Joshua is going to now .

Right before this happened , joshua and Caleb were sent into , along with others , were sent into , the land of Cana . You know these lands that God was leading them to . And they came back and many of the scouts said , oh , they're too big , we can't fight them , they're giants .

And only Joshua and Caleb , the minority , the small minority , says no , no , no , we can do this because we have God on our side . And so they bring the ark of the covenant . They're gonna cross the water . How are we gonna get across the water ? They bring the ark of the covenant and God tells them just bring this right through up to the water .

The water stop . And they open a path for everybody . Right , and so this is the thing today we have to put God in the center of us and find our path . He'll bring us through this , but this is the day of temptation , so I'm gonna pick up here . So Bishop Sheen says . He gives the example of the Israelites being tested in the desert .

The far-sighted Bishop Sheen . He highlighted how the majority of Israelites , again scouting the promised land , told the people they couldn't enter because of the dwellers were too strong . But but he says the majority is not always right , and he's making an analogy to today . Only Caleb and Joshua , the minority report , disagreed , and they were right .

Bishop Sheen warns what we're going to have in the church then is this minority report these pesky Christians running around that are gonna stand up for the truth , against the false and against lies , right ?

A minority report of sisters , meaning nuns , and a minority report of priests , a minority report of the laity , not the minority that is aggressive and troublemaking , he says , but the minority , like Caleb and Joshua , who trust in God . So we are tested , just as the Jews were tested . And what are we gonna do ?

Do we make Christ the center of our lives or not ? And I'll tell you what . There's only two choices . We all stand before the tree the knowledge of good and evil . What do you decide ? This is an old battle . Why do we have to come in ? Why do we have to be tested ? Why is evil ? You know , I don't know , I don't know .

It's a mystery and an equitatus , but evil has been unleashed in the world and we had something to do with that , didn't we ? Adam and Eve unleashed that on us and we've been following . Every generation has to stand before the tree . Do we ask for redemption .

Do we ask to come back into union and communion with God or do we allow evil to just bring us along ? You know it's a good question , right ? He went on and so this is about 1970s , early 1970s . He went on . He says this and John Paul agreed with him on this .

He said not far after our time and this is the time he was pointing to right now and perhaps in the time of some then we'll come to battles and to testing . So that's what we're in right now , everyone . We're in the battles and the testing . So when you buckle up , when you feel like there's a lot of currents of evil , this is the time of testing .

This is gonna be different than the last 30 , 40 , 50 years . We are seeing all of this evil . Just stand up . It's pretty easy to see . Our Lord said Satan will sift you as wheat and we are being sifted as wheat . So we can all thank God that we live in these days . Bishop Sheen said really it's beautiful .

Now we can say eh or nay and we can bear up under assault , criticism and ridicule , because this is the lot of the Christian in the days of the spirit of the world this comes from . St Paul said , you can live in life in the spirit of the Holy Spirit or life in the flesh , which is the spirit of the world , life in the world .

So those are two things . So the days for shifting as wheat are here . Bishop Sheen described accurately what they'd be like . He wrote . From now on , the struggle will not be for colonies and national rights , but for the souls , the souls of men and women . And this is not gonna be a half-hearted battle . There's not gonna be half-drawn swords .

There's no divided loyalties , no broad strokes of sophomoric tolerance . There will not even be any more great heresies , for heresies are based on partial acceptance of truth . These battle lines are already being clearly drawn and the basic issues are no longer in doubt .

From now on , men and women will divide themselves into two religions , understood again as a surrender to an absolute . So we're gonna decide . We're at the tree and this is the decision , and many people in our culture already made this decision and we're coming down hard .

The only thing we can really do is put our trust in God and then take that trust and bring the good into the world . We have to do that , we have to act , and this is the conflict between the city of man and the city of God .

And it is here the absolute who is the God-man , jesus Christ , and the absolute who is the man who thinks he is God right , jesus , who came to redeem us and bring us back into union and communion with God , and the man who rejects that redeemer and makes himself God . Will we be brothers in Christ or comrades in the Antichrist ?

And we see the Antichrist in the world , led by the world elites and accepted by our secular society , in large parts of the church , all the way up to the very top , to the Vatican , where so many shepherds have been nothing more than a mouthpiece to normalize evil , to normalize the fall and sin .

Bishop Sheen said it would be common that the Antichrist will not be called the Antichrist , though otherwise he'd have no followers . He said he's not going to wear red tights or vomit sulfur , but he's going to come to convince men that he does not exist . When no man recognizes him , the more power he exercises .

God has defined himself as I am , who am , and the devil says I am , who am not . He doesn't want you to think that evil is around . In Scripture the devil is described as a fallen angel and is the prince of the world . St Paul writes in Ephesians Finally , be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might .

Put on the whole armor of God that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil . For we're not contending against flesh and blood , but against principalities , against powers , against the world rulers of this present age , against the spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places .

These principalities and powers are ranks of demons opposed to the church and , as Pope Paul the sixth said , the smoke of Satan has entered the church . So this attack is even inside the church , isn't it ? You have to discern today . Bishop Sheen wrote that Satan's business is to tell us that there is no other world . This is it .

This is the materialistic world . The Neo-Marxists love that right . His logic is simple If there's no heaven , then there's no hell . If there's no hell , then there's no sin . If there's no sin , then there's no judge . And if there's no judgment , then you can call evil good and you can call good evil , isn't it ?

That's what we do In abortions and these gender ideologies and the violence you see on the streets . It's amazing . How will he come to deceive , though , even the elect , even those people that are filling up some of the pews that haven't left the church yet . In this new age , how is he going to win followers to his religion ?

Well , the great Russian writers wrote that he would come as a great humanitarian . They saw this coming too . Listen to our global leaders . Listen to them . Spew evil and I'll tell you what a lot of people just accept it . They don't see it , even today , whether it's coming from the Vatican and those in the church .

Shepherd should be speaking the truth , but aren't . And we say the same thing in the government and the world elites . Some people just don't hear it . Others , like John Paul II , would say you know , we have to speak the truth , speak the truth , know the truth . Only the truth will set you free , he would say . But people don't see the truth .

They're like the frog sitting at proverbial water and it got hotter and hotter and hotter , and they don't even know they're boiling up and they can't see anymore . So Bishop Sheen went on , this great humanitarian , he's going to write books on the new idea of God . What ? How is he going to do this ? Oh , it's going to suit the way people live today .

Oh , don't we see this ? I think Father James Martin has got a new book out , right , just to suit the way we live today . You wonder how many cardinals and bishops are going to endorse it this time . I think you know Bishop Barron endorsed this book last time . It's really amazing to try and explain guilt away , huh ?

Don't push those inhibitions down , just indulge them . You live the way you're supposed to . God made us all like this right and man . They want to make you shrink in shame if their fellow men say that they're not broadminded enough to accept this , as to identify tolerance with indifference to right and wrong . You got to be tolerant .

You have to be tolerant of everybody . There's no truth anymore , it's all subjective . You have to be broadminded enough , right ? Well , I remember GK Chesterton would say we should take all these ideas in , but at some point you got to hold on to something . Right , you'll have to be so broadminded you won't hang on to anything .

And then he's going to spread the lie that men will never be better until they make society better . Don't we hear this today ? How are we going to fix things ? Throw more money , make society better , but what are we missing ? No , we got to make our human hearts better .

Right , he's going to foster science , bishop Sheen said , only to have armament makers use one marvel of science to destroy the other . We see this all these new weapons being , you know , killing mass people in Ukraine . Now he's going to foster more divorces under the skies that another partner is vital . You'll find love there , because love is love .

You get the Bill Gates of the world . I'm going to save humanity . But he never sees the human beings . He will invoke religion to destroy religion . He will even speak of Christ and say he was the greatest man who ever lived .

His mission , he will say , will be to liberate men from the servitude of superstition and fascism , but he'll never define what that is Hope and change , hope and change . He will organize children's games to indoctrinate them , confuse people about who they should marry or what marriage is , who should be children , who should be their children and who shouldn't .

And then he's going to tempt Christians with the same three temptations that he tempted Christ with . Number one , the temptation to tone , to turn stones into bread , and that's the temptation to sell our freedom for security . Didn't we just see this ? How many people condemned those that were in fact ?

They wouldn't wear masks , you know , or wouldn't keep that six foot distance because they were all afraid . Right , they're gonna sell their freedom , they're gonna accept these lockdowns .

The company church leaders just accepted the lockdowns or were in bed with the globalists and did that on purpose , right , making bread a political weapon which only those who think his way may eat . You see this on the attack on the farms Look Goat study the Dutch farmers and seeing what they're trying to do there . So they wanna control even the food supply .

Look , a lot of people are gonna starve if they get an idea of this . You know , millions and millions of people starved in China and also starved in Russia and other many other places where communism came in . Number two , the temptation to work a miracle .

Miracle by recklessly throwing themselves from a steeple will become a plea to desert the lofty pinnacles of truth where faith and reason reign , for those lower depths where masses live on slogans and propaganda .

I mean , you know , when I'm at a protest or somebody's protesting , something I'm speaking about and they're talking about trans or their oh , I don't know gender fluid or pansexual and I ask them to define that ? They really can't . They're just throwing out slogans and propaganda . Define a woman ? They can't .

So he wants no proclamation of immutable principles from the lofty heights of a steeple . No truth , but just mass organization through propaganda , where only a common man directs to idiosyncrasies of other common men . This is the city of man , isn't it ? We want opinions , not truths , commentators not true teachers . Gallop holes , not principles .

Nature but not nature , instilled with grace to these golden calvesmen who will toss themselves from their Christ . And then , finally , number three , the temptation in which Satan asked Christ to adore him and all the kingdoms of the world would be his will , become the temptation to have a new religion without a cross . There's Father James Martin today .

Huh , just everything goes today . A liturgy without a world to come , a religion to destroy a religion , or a politics which is a religion , one that renders unto Caesar even the things that are gods .

So , in the midst of all his seeming love for humanity and his glib talk of freedom , of equality , the Antichrist will have one great secret which he will tell no one he will not believe in God . Think about these German bishops today . Right , their blessing same-sex marriage and all these things .

Look , I'm not picking a fight , even with those that have same-sex attraction , and people have those things . The question always becomes what are you gonna do about it and the church always challenges them right To go deep into a relationship with Christ . That's what we should be doing , but nope . Yup , but do these bishops believe in God ?

I have a hard time believing . They do , right , because his religion will be what Brotherhood without the fatherhood of God ? And you hear bishops today , we're gonna change the our father because it's not inclusive enough . Right , he's gonna deceive even the elect with those kind of things .

He's gonna set up a counter church which will be the ape of the church , because he , the devil , is the ape of God . You will have all the notes and characteristics of the church but in reverse , an empty of its divine content .

How many preachers today are get up in their pulpit and empty their homily of the divine content , afraid to say and speak the truth ? So it's gonna be a mystical body of the antichrist that will , in all externals , resemble the mystical body of Christ . There's gonna be spewing evil from the inside .

In the past century people refused to believe the vicar of Christ . You know , when we had the good popes around , the John Pauls and the Benics , and before them we had some incredible popes , but when they spoke on matters of faith and morals , people refused to believe them . We don't want to do that . We refuse to do that . We reject that .

We stand at the tree and say nope , nope . But the counter church will believe the visible head when he speaks . On what ? Economics and politics ? As his chief shepherd of world communism or this neo Marxism , like the honorary chaplain now for the world economic order , he's gonna break down all the national boundaries , laugh down patriotism .

Don't we hear this now from our elites in the church ? Even Break down the barriers . You know we don't need nations anymore . It's really interesting . Even our Pope said that . Pope Francis said that While he , what ? While he's surrounded by Swiss guards , huh , leaving the common man to be what ? To defend against the people in the world ?

That would steal , kill , maim , bring these ideologies into the schools . This is what we should be standing up for , church . What happens ? Why is the church silent on many of these things In this last hour ? The counter church will no longer excommunicate heretics , bishop Sheen said Isn't that true today ?

The father's James Martin , the soupages of the world , the Tobens of the world , the Macklerys , wilson , gregory , out of Washington DC , these people are all elevated up , right . And what do we do ? What do we do . We're getting rid of all of the priests that actually speak orthodoxy huh , that bring the truth to their people . That truth is relative , we say .

The scripture must not be true . It's materialism that matters . Got climate change ? We mandate vaccines . We close churches , excommunicate orthodox bishops , even Open borders so as to dilute the people of a nation Of what ? Of their values and principles , of what their countries were frowned on .

We're gonna render marriage meaningless , promote bishops and cardinals over institutions like the John Paul II Institute for Marriage and the Family and the Pontifical Institute is set up for life that were the goal to be these teaching universities and teaching centers around the world that would build up marriage and the family and build up this life and understanding of

a child and the womb and on . And what happened ? Now ? They've all been gutted out . It's really amazing , isn't it ? So Bishop Sheen said this we're gonna bring people in that are approved party leaders in this counter church and they derive their authority from the apostles Karl Marx and Lenin . They even shut down and trying to shut down today the Latin mass .

They make threatening visits to Bishop Joseph Strickland , who speaks the truth . Carlos , archbishop Carlos Vigano is in hiding . So they're in a role , bishop Sheen said , of the secret police . The modern mind resents any reference to devil , though to evil .

The fact is , however , that though contemporary atheism has not convinced us that there is no God , they haven't done being able to do that . This contemporary atheism has convinced us that there is a devil Because we can look around , and we can look around and we see the sin .

We see what happens when you take God out , when you take morality out of somebody's heart , out of marriages and the families out of the church , and then it comes out of the culture .

Those who penetrate the surface of things , bishop Sheen said , more deeply than others , have seen that if there is no devil , then all the evil in the world must be attributed to human beings and human nature , and no member of the human race wants to believe his species is that diabolical .

Yet there is some surprising , unexpected advice , and the saintly bishop made clear the situation is not gloomy . He said why ? Because it's a picture of the church in the midst of increasing opposition from the world .

And therefore , live your lives , he said , in the full consciousness of this hour of testing , and rally close to the heart of Christ , be in the minority . He really had ears perked up with this next revelation recommendation .

He said if there is anything that has to be restored in our day , I would say it's violence and you could just see his eyes and his hand gestures when he was on television . Violence , he said . The kingdom of heaven is won by violence and only the violent shall conquer it . Well , shouldn't it be about peace ?

Well , let's hear the great bishop Sheen explain from a biblical perspective . He observed how , when the church drops things , the world picks them up and twists them and distort them . Don't forget , satan doesn't have his own clay . He can only take what God gave and what God created and twisted and distorted .

So when mysticism drops and we got the mystical and we take it out of life , we go on , wonder the world , the young are looking for something and they turn to pharmaceuticals and drugs and all the things . When we drop violence and he's talking now , get into more of this in just a second this is the violence of the heart .

He says take a sword to your heart , let Christ take a sword to your heart , cut out all the evil out of our hearts . That's the violence . The violence is in the individual human heart . But when we drop that violence , we drop discipline , we drop a commitment to the cross and what happens ? The world picks it up .

That's why there's no stopping the violence in this country . We have to hire more police guards , more body guards , build more hospitals for the addicts , more programs . Why ? Because there's no more reason on the inside . While they should stop , they have to take that sword to the heart , to their own hearts .

Overcome their addictions , overcome the evil , otherwise the evil overcomes them . Sheen explained our blessed Lord said I came to bring the sword , not peace . We're always talking about peace , peace , peace . He said yes , because we had all these wars . Right , and they happen . But who makes those wars ? Who puts us out there ?

It's because we're not making war on ourselves , and there's not going to be any peace in the world until we make war in our own hearts . Our Lord said I came not to bring peace , but the sword . See , he never used the word peace until after Easter , when he conquered sin and death , and then he gave us the power to do that .

The Lord brought a sword , and it's not the sword that he's thrust out toward the enemy , it's a sword that's thrust against ourselves , cutting out the seven pallbearers of the soul . Pride , ooh , pride again . That number one , right . One . Number one of the seven deadly sins is pride . That's why we have pride month . We have pride , this and pride that right .

We stand before the tree and I want to be like God I'll decide what's good and what's evil . That's number one . What else do we have to cut out of those seven pallbearers of the soul Covetness and lust , and anger and envy , gluttony , sloth .

And we've given up the sword , though and when we give up the sword , someone else has taken it up and we have to restore it . Then we're gonna get peace , and peace is never corporate , it's never social , until it's first individual . Everybody has to take this responsibility on , and then we go out into the world and we become loving people , giving people .

Then we can bring peace into the world . Social peace , world peace is the extension of the individual peace in the individual human heart . When we are right with God , then we'll be right with our fellow man . When we are not right with God , then we will be wrong with everyone else . Bishop Sheen told everyone to take seriously this .

Spend an hour before the Lord and the blessed sacrament every day , not only for our own souls but for the world and to strengthen our minority . It's violence we have to take onto ourselves . Easy enough to understand .

He said the Lord is keeping reserves , he's training us , we'll make this entry into the promised land , we'll prepare for a new church , and he's with us . And don't forget he already won the battle . Only the news has not leaked out yet , and so it's violence that has to be restored . See , every generation comes into this world and we all have the chance .

We all have to make a decision . And you know what we're doing . We're leaving the vulnerable , we're leaving the future twisted and broken and distorted for our kids , our grandkids , the generations to come after them . Hey , look it . We're just here for this little dash , little time .

Stand up , speak the truth , be the truth in the world , but first take violence to your heart . Huh , receive the sacraments , those three things I say every day . Get on your knees before you look at that phone in the morning and say God , your will be done in my own heart . Right , take them into your heart , let them do violence to your heart .

And then , every time , a temptation number two every time a temptation comes , don't get nervous about it , don't try to stuff it down , don't indulge it . Open it up , have it be an invitation to prayer . You'll be praying all day long . Lord , come into my heart .

You know , when you see the beauty of a man , you see the beauty of a woman and you see other things that you're tempted by , open those up . Open those up . Open those up and say thank you , god for this opportunity to pray .

Just like Bishop Sheen said , this is a great time to be here , to do battle right , but we lift up our hearts and we open them up and he will come in and help us carry the cross . It'll be a battle , but over time we're gonna win those battles . And then , finally , we have to go out .

We have to go out then be filled with divine life and love and then become divine life and lower world , bring that beauty , what's true , what's good , what's beautiful , into the world , especially the beauty of love . That's the main thing . Hey , god bless you . Thanks for being with me .
