The year was 1995, I had been married for 13 years...three children, and our marriage was falling apart. A non-practicing Catholic I found myself on my knees asking, "God do you have a plan?"
I would have an encounter with God soon after that, when our brother Danny, dying from AIDS, came back to life with a message that would forever change my life.
This is Tuesday Night in the Smith Home for June 19, 2022. The Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ. Saint John Paul II reminded us that the Church “does not only celebrate the Eucharist but solemnly bears it in procession, publicly proclaiming that the sacrifice of Christ is for the salvation of the whole world.”
Our Eucharistic faith gives us confidence that Christ abides with us through all the sorrows of our life, sanctifying us and leading us to his unveiled presence in heaven.
“Out of the darkness of my life, so much frustrated, I put before you the one great thing to love on earth: the Blessed Sacrament. There you will find romance, glory, honor, fidelity, and the true way of all your loves on earth” (J.R.R. Tolkien).
Jesus has been changing lives of men and women throughout the past 2000 plus years. I know many of them and I am one of them.

1. Go to Mass, the most important prayer! Try to make an extra Mass during the week.
2. Take the wedding bath...the Sacrament of Reconciliation at least once per month
3. Read Scripture daily
