Tom reports that today there are over 60 million adult survivors of sexual abuse in the United States alone. One in four girls and one in six boys have been directly abused and almost all of our children have been affected at multiple levels.
I am grateful to have Tom Hampson back on the show. Tom has been an investigator for over 50 years beginning with intelligence work for the US Air Force and went on to be the Chief investigator for the Illinois Crime investigating Commission where he directed an 8-year investigation into the commercial sex trade and exploitation of children. That investigation remains the most extensive law enforcement investigations ever done on the topic.
Once Tom began to understand the scope of the sexual exploitation of children, he realized that law enforcement would never be able to make more than a dent in the problem and that parents must be educated in how to protect their children...and every child today is being affected by what is essentially grooming or desensitizing them, a step to becoming victims themselves...and you will be surprised by the just how deep this is...
He founded the Truth Alliance Foundation to help educate the public as well as helping institutions set up protective services to identify sexual predators and keep our children from becoming a victim.
This affects all of us! Grooming has been institutionalized in our public-school systems, in Hollywood on Social media...and in corporations like Disney and Netflix.
But also in our government! By the very agencies that are supposed to protect us! Laws have been past that make it impossible for many therapists and counselors to do anything but affirm children in their confusion and taking any other course of action can involve prosecution and having their licenses revoked.
Even at the federal level...The Biden administration is pushing this from the top down. From the president to Rachael Levine, a man who claims to be a woman, who has been appointed to head up the HHS (Health and Human Services) that is responsible for promoting and enhancing the health of the citizens of the United States of America and oversees over 100 programs.
