This is Laura D with the Becker healthcare podcast. I'm thrilled today be joined by Pan Sharma, strategy and operations leader at Human. Pancreas. Is a pleasure to have on the podcast today. Thank you, Laura. Thanks for helping me. Now I'm excited for our conversation and learning more about some of the great things that you're doing at Human man, But before I dive in, can you tell us a little bit more about yourself in your background?

Sure. I'm a strategy leader in Human clinical strategy in analytics team. And speaking at a high level as a team, we innovate and execute solutions focused on enhancing our members overall health. Currently my specific focuses is our Sn membership, which as we know is typically a more vulnerable population than the average beneficiaries. I need initiatives that aim towards keeping this population healthy by implementing timely and engaging interventions. Both clinical and otherwise.

And as a quick background on myself, I joined Last year have been working in the healthcare space for a while now, 4 Human jimenez was a management consultant and helped healthcare focused clients, not a gave business challenges and achieve their strategic goals. It has been a very satisfying a fine journey so far and. I'm excited for what they had. Well, that's great to hear. And, you know, it certainly

exciting to... Kinda think through that transition and, really the potential for for what you have going on? Now, what are some of the big trends and headwind you're following right now? What's top of mind for you? Sure. So as we know, the Us beer landscape. Has been rapidly evolving, especially since the last few years. And when I think of trends and headwind, distribution has been a function of multiple ongoing trends.

But there are a couple that I'd say I have been following more closely the rest the first 1 is generated Ai, I believe currently as an industry, we are at the stage. Where numerous potential ai use cases have been suggested to drive value and will conceptually many of them seeing t only fewer are feasible enough to be implemented effectively.

So moving forward, professionally as well as personally, I'm interested to see how an industry, we not only implement the feasible ones, but also level up in terms of data sharing. As operational rationalization and regulations to be able to implement the other Ai solutions, which for right now seeing maybe a bit out of reach for us, lack a better place. And then the second trend that I'm following is the industry's continued focus and double click on the preventative and holistic care.

Now more than before, healthcare stakeholders are working towards effectively strat and proactively reaching out to the at risk population or preventative at care. Also it is interesting to see how the non clinical holistic care is an is increasingly becoming more of a viable reality than just the concept and different organizations of prep spectrum figuring out the strategic implications, logistical implications, financial implications of providing integrated care to the population.

And lastly, and very quickly, Say in interim headwind, I'm following M rate cuts, that's the trend I'd like to keep an eye on. Say Absolutely. I I think all those things you mentioned are really top of mind for so many healthcare leaders and it'll will be fascinating to see however from Ai and technology to Medicare Advantage continues to play out. Now from your perspective and looking into the future, how are you thinking about growth, for the future?

Yeah. When I think about the future, I believe growth for the healthcare stakeholders for primarily the shaped by the trends that are already emotional So firstly, we know that our population is aging and to manage cost that would expect maybe lead to a heightened and focus on. Preventative and holistic care that we briefly discussed before. And this as we're already witnessing would entail increased emphasis on the areas like primary care, home based care, behavioral health and health.

In terms of growth, healthcare care organizations have been best in these areas for some time now. But I believe it's more refined predicted analytics tools and higher interoperability. These intervention would become time and more effective and help the organizations drive tangible value. And then secondly I believe technology and losing technology here is a cash oil phrase. Will continue to be a significant drug driver, enhancing both back efficiency as well as front end patient experience.

We are moving towards increased data interoperability, more advanced Ai, and I think loaded those things. Will enable organizations to grow value mirror by deriving actionable insights and automating processes and overall reducing the operational cost. I I believe that as consumer facing technologies continue to proliferate proliferate.

Members will be in empowered to engage with their health care journey in more personalized ways, and that would need to, hopefully an overall earlier population and, industry growth there. That's great to hear. And definitely, exciting to think about the possibilities as human humanity continues to grow in and develop? Now before we wrap up here, I was wondering, could you tell me about a really impactful project or initiated that you're working on right now?

Sure. So, the projects that I'm working on right now. Related to the care management of members, like we very briefly discussed this a very valuable population. And, as you know, the snip space is also highly regulated. So we are focusing on how to make our members more healthy and like the offerings which are effective in a way that is not only regulation compliant, but all so worsening of their conditions. It's quite

intellectually stimulating work. It's meaningful and satisfying and so I'm excited to see the results that it a bring. Fantastic. Well, I... I'm glad that... You know, things are going so well, and and there's really such opportunity headed, your way. Pan. Thank you so much for joining us on the podcast today. This has been a really fun and fascinating discussion, and I look forward to connecting with you again soon. Team here. Thanks again Work for having me, and have a great day ahead.
