Beauty Translated is back, y'all. I'm your host, Carmen Laurent. In season one of Beauty Translated. You joined me as I reconnected with my local trans community here in Atlanta. With an all new season, we are going to get into the discourse and challenge your perceptions of trans people. Join me April twelfth or all new conversations that go beyond Atlanta, beyond the South, and beyond just skin deep. I'm talking to guests who are redefining our ways of thinking.
I've definitely had people to say, well, you would understand you're a binary trans woman. I was gendercer identified or I started calling myself a trans woman. Wisdom from our elders stop canceling words, but elders let people's self identify and surprising ways other trans people are connecting with their communities. Me, my Similian, my other friends. We started advocating for community defense in people to learn how to use firearms and training,
and I've heard your cries from more Beauty Translated. Each Monday, I will be translating the headlines or catching up with a past guest with a minisoda. It is my hope that these Monday episodes will be your source to stay up to date on the latest news within the trans community. Now, while you wait for Season two, catch up on our old episodes. Beauty Translated is proud to be part of
the outspoken network from iHeart Podcasts. Listen to Season two starting April twelfth on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
