Ep 21 — Is Beauty the Last Dance?
Episode description
Claudia Soto is a London-born, Melbourne-based, Spanish/Chilean yoga and pilates teacher and the creator of Cloud Sways — a space to encourage people to move their bodies for all reasons excluding societal pressures and to dismantle the false narrative that size and abilities are a reflection of health.
In the episode, Claudia shares about how her mother's battle with cancer and ongoing struggle with weight and body image, catalyzed her work as a yoga and pilates instructor. She talks about her involvement with the youth inside of the disability sector, and shares a moment as a child at recess that really made an imprint on her body awareness. Paige also opens up about her background as a young gymnast and how this negatively impacted her sense of physical self-worth, while Tamsin expresses that her body growing up never felt like her own.
