Episode description

Weighing yourself daily and obsessing is so much bullshit. I know, I did it for years.

I use to put so much pressure on myself for exercise. I had to look a certain way. I tried all the programs that were popular at the time. I felt shame if I weighed over a certain amount and then would starve myself to fit into a particular size.

As I've grown older, I have learned to be more kind to myself. I don't try to kill myself anymore with hours of aerobics classes, video tapes, starvation or radical diets. I have given myself grace to simply be healthy. I eat well but if I have a piece of cake I don't beat myself up for days like the past. I love life!

In this episode, I talk about how I don't want to allow myself to become super fat or obese, but I don't take as much self loathing into the shower every day like I did in my younger years. I have flaws and I embrace them. I am in no way sporting a perfect body, but I also don't believe such a thing exists. When we love ourselves exactly as we are and appreciate our bodies for what they do for us every day, life becomes more enjoyable.
