This is a meditation by Fr Tom Dowd for the Feast day of Blessed Alvaro del Portillo, the first successor of St Josemaria. He was a very bright engineer and later on theologian and canon lawyer, courageous, brave, and conscientious person and was a wonderful support to St Josemaría over many years.
