Knicks Late First & Second Round Draft Scouting: Tre Jones (Episode 121)
Tre Jones from Duke could be a credible reserve point guard for the Knicks if they decide to draft him. He brings great defense and an ability to run an offense effectively.

Tre Jones from Duke could be a credible reserve point guard for the Knicks if they decide to draft him. He brings great defense and an ability to run an offense effectively.
Argentinian combo forward Leandro Bolmaro would be a unique choice to use with their LAC pick in this year's draft. I don't think he is worth trading up for, but I would not mind taking the playmaker does he slip to the Knicks' spot late in the first.
Washington forward Jaden McDaniels is a prospect who intrigues me very much. I think the ceiling here is very high but the concerns are weighed heavy as well. He is going to need proper development in order to reach his hefty ceiling, so are the Knicks really the best fit for him?
Stretch big Jalen Smith is an intriguing prospect from Maryland who the Knicks should definitely consider if he falls in the draft. They would likely have to trade up for Smith, which also wouldn't be terrible, as he's a player who would address shooting & rim protecting issues from the Knick bench.
Aaron Nesmith had an outstanding couple of weeks in 2020 for Vanderbilt before the foot injury. His three-point shooting was off the charts, and his defense was solid too, but was the sample size large enough for the Knicks to trade up for him?
Saddiq Bey from Villanova is a 6'8" combo wing that could benefit the Knicks do they take him with their second first-round pick. He'd bring floor spacing, athleticism, defense, and would likely be NBA ready due to Jay Wright's successful track record of developing role players.
Payton Pritchard from Oregon can bring a few different dynamics to the Knick backcourt. He's a good shooter, an adequate playmaker, and has some defensive intangibles as well.
Nico Mannion is a combo guard from Arizona that could benefit the Knicks if they opt to move up in the draft with their LAC pick. Mannion can bring some playmaking & scoring potential to a Knicks team that underwhelms in those areas.
Florida State's Devin Vassell is a prospect the Knicks should consider taking do they move up in the draft. He's an athletic two-way wing with an extremely high motor that plays efficient team basketball.
Kira Lewis Jr. would be a good option for the Knicks if they decide to move up in the draft and pass on a PG in the lottery. Come check out my scouting report on him in Episode 112.
In Episode 111 we dove into Michigan State's Cassius Winston, who was a fantastic shooter in college with a knack for passing as well. The Knicks could benefit by drafting him with one of their later two picks in this year's draft.
Scott Perry is the Knick GM for one more season. I give my take on that, as well as prospect Cassius Stanley from Duke. Stanley is an athletic wing who could help the Knicks address their biggest deficiencies.
Desmond Bane is a draft prospect that could potentially land in the Knicks' hands late in the first round. The Knicks should consider Bane for a couple of reasons. Check out why.
Knicks president Leon Rose is reportedly a bit skeptical on forward Kevin Knox, while he's also interested in chasing stars this offseason. I talk about that tonight, as well as discuss the NFL Draft with Leo later on.Go find & follow Leo on Instagram (@leo_rodriguez1222).
