Have You Seen Him with Brian Schaefer

When THE man comes around he does not disappoint!  After nearly a year of stalking him, Brandon's own, Brian Schaefer, owner of Skatepark of Tampa/The Bricks was nice enough to stop by and give me a generous amount of his time. In the almost 30 years since its inception, Brian has cultivated an internationally revered wonderland devoted to the religion of skateboarding.  Appearing in Tony Hawk video games, FUEL TV competitions, collaborations with Nike, Converse and evening Cigar City Brewing, The SPoT as its affectionately known has annually hosted  2 of the premier Pro and Amateur skateboarding competitions in the world, as well as Tony Hawk himself, Andrew Reynolds, Mark Gonzales, Eric Koston, Lil Wayne, Dinosaur Jr. and the list goes on.  But conquering that world wasn't enough, Brian then went on to create The Bricks restaurant/bar which anchors Ybor's 7th Ave. with a collection of unique dishes, imbibements and other surreal goings on.  Part working class hero, part street philosopher and total shredder, Brian reveals himself in riddles.  We spoke for about an hour on each side of the interview and all of it was pure gold.  You're gonna wanna check this one out
