This week we sit down with Stu Bithell, Andy 'Taxi' Davis, and Simon Blake to discuss the Melin Rocket, a unique UK boat. The class was created by the merger of the Merlin and Rocket classes in the 1940's. The Merlin Rocket is designed to a box rule and as a result the boats have evolved and are thoroughly modern designs with plenty of strings to pull. They have a lot of great regattas and traditions that make them successful. We have watched them from afar for a lifetime, so were very keen to learn more about this class. Again it was a great chat.
