When she was in grade school, Kat was involved in an accident where she lost her left arm. But that didn't stop her from fulfilling her basketball goals. Possessing an intensity and work ethic similar to the "Mamba Mentality", she become a member of the De La Salle Zobel Basketball team until highschool.
