Back to Life

It can be hard to exist on days that society has determined to be happy days. Can be hard to celebrate when there is so much unresolved. Hard to celebrate when all you feel is distance and yearning. It is important for us not to rush past these feelings. Too often, in our never ending pursuit of Eastertide we speed past grief. We rush past the process because we do not want to engage the pain. And ironically, in our pursuit of avoidance, we build a life that centers our loss.
