Frances Haugen, also known as the Facebook Whistleblower, rose to national attention out of thin air exposing many of the corrupt policies of Facebook and voicing concerns about the sites safety for children and its practices eroding democracy at home and stoking ethnic tensions and harm abroad. For such a broad assault on this very powerful and wealthy company, why is she given positive attention by the government and minimal pushback from Facebook? If Chelsea Manning, Edward Snowden, and Julian Assange are hunted down and in jeopardy of death why does Haugen get a verified Twitter and celebrity status?
