#5 - Shailee Basnet on Summiting Everest, The AT vs. PCT, and Thru-Hiking Purism

Curious what it's like to go from someone who never hikes to summiting Mt. Everest? 

Enter Shailee Basnet.  

After growing up with "the secret dream to go out and play" in the face of a culture that discourages women from doing so, Basnet was presented with the opportunity to summit Everest.  She took it, and has never looked back.  Since conquering the tallest mountain on earth, Basnet spearheaded the Seven Summits Women Team, which became the first female team in the world to climb the highest peak in each continent.
