have to go to LA today. It's not going to happen. Plus, I told myself, I'm going to pick up something for myself, which means I have to go a different direction and go grab that because I've been waiting to get it and start utilizing it. So I need it. I want it all right. And the regiment last night, so i'd been doing about four miles a day on the elliptical. I did yesterday. The previous night,

I had done. I had done it pretty late like, and I did my full run that night, so it was like four point two miles. I was pretty happy with myself, but it was very before I was going to sleep. So the following day I split, which was yesterday,

I split it up. I did forty minutes, and then I forty minutes or was it thirty five whatever, something like that, and then I went back on and did another forty before I went to bed, thinking somehow in my mind that I would wake up at five point thirty this morning and knock it out before I got on here, and then I would go from here to San Diego. But it's not going to happen. It didn't happen. I woke up at seven o eight or something and in a less than an

hour, I'm here talking to everybody else. So, ye, we're gonna look at the book again. I'm trying to find something else too. Here. Oh it soda, that's that what it is. Let me see. Yeah, what page are we on? Sixty three? We did get pretty far. I mean I finished the actual book myself last night. Does that sound familiar from what we've been describing and talking about and what they do from one civilization, well established civilization, kingdom empire to another. And when one gets sour, when they've already just when they finally destroyed it and killed the host, they're already working on betraying that host, no matter how well they were treated to

the next ambitious conqueror that's coming along the way. Interpreted in their own way, to the effect that Jews worshiped Set, who is the god of evil, yeah. Oh. God. Some of you might not realize this, but the earliest Christians that we know about didn't all agree on who the Old Testament God was, what his role was, And so there's a couple of groups that come to mind. We might we might talk talk about more groups as well. But Marcion is this early Christian writer who, if I'm not mistaken, please correct me if I'm wrong. But I'm just gonna tell you what I think. It seems that he thought the Old Testament God was evil and some o the other

of these Christians. So did many of the other early Christians because they were seeing the deception and as it was happening that it was a Roman deception to working in conjunction with these bandits and cutthroats, to blend the religions, to pretty much conquer the minds of all people in their creeingdom, in their empire. And that was the objective, and it's been working for two thousand years

since. Kind of went a little bit over on the over achievement board there, but we still think that somehow we're attached to this element that is not good, and we're defending it, and we're even becoming Christian Zionists to defend it. And we're always always identifying with the very god of theirs that wants to kill you. And they say so over and over and over again.

If you're not one of them, you're an alien. Even though they are the aliens, they are from the other side of the river, remember the ones on the other side of the river. It's considered a term for alien Habu habu sagas groups that had similar views. Well, I think before we get to Marson and let's just take a step back and draw a bit of the context for this, because the context for this is really setting the stage for all the figures that we'll talk about. So, first of all,

Christianity takes on wants to appear intellectual. It takes on all the intellectual repertoire of its time, and in its time, the dominant philosophy was Platonism. And so Christians, you know, they didn't want to portray themselves as believing

in fables and in conflicted and morally problematic depictions of God. They wanted God to be unchangeable, to be everlasting, to be full of wisdom, to be unknown, to be transcended, to be hyper cosmic, that is, transcending the world, and to most importantly be good, and to have no

question about the fundamental goodness of God ever at any time. And so these are the fundamental traits of Platanism. Platonism and Christianity joined forces, and they've really never stopped joining forces because even today, I mean, all Christians will insist that their God is good and only good and is somehow transcending this world.

Those are not inherently biblical ideas. There's no point me And will you be flipping through you know the Bible, and I say, you know the Hebrew Bible, and you'll find you know, God is transcendent, you know, I mean, you'll never find that as a as a doctor. Okay. That's Platonism that has been worked into Christianity like leven okay, and has inflated the dough. I wanted to just to add to what you say real quick, and then I want to continue with what your thought was. But

I noticed this recently. I was looking at Wikipedia page for some of these high level bishops in Rome and the Roman Catholic Church, and it says I'll show them on the screen as I say this Roman Catholic and then it says philosophy Neoplatonists. So some of these Roman Catholics are like self professed neoplatonists in twenty twenty three right now, Just Tod just wanted to throw that out there

to add what you're saying. Yeah, I mean you've you've had with Pope Benedict the sixteenth, he made an official statement on this that that Christianity and Platonism have joined hands and have always been the two constituent elements in what became Christian theology, and in the second century it's no different. So when you're a Platonist, the very first thing you do and the most widely read in the most popular text ever in antiquity. It wasn't the Apology of Socrates.

It wasn't the Phasius with its wonderful image of the soul as a chariot. It wasn't the Symposium where you have the drinking party in speeches about love. It was the Timaeus, which is Plato's creation story. And in that creation story he distinguishes God is the good, from the Creator, who is lower being who was also good, because the creators of manifestation of the good and the Creator also known as the demiurge. But it's the same word demi or

gods just translates as creator. This creator creates the best of all possible worlds, which is our world, and does his best to conform our world to the good and to the the the eternal thoughts of God, the eternal forms, as Plato thought of them. So already Christians are dealing with a scenario in which there is not a split in the Godhead, but a distinction that

is a distinction between the ultimate entrance and in God and God's manager. Okay, and God's manager is the Creator. And in Platonism, there's no hint that the that the Creator is bad. In fact, that that would be

quite wrong headed. But there are or there were in the universe. You know, it wasn't just Christians. It was all people who acknowledged that the middle management class of deity, which is called the demons, okay, or the diamons, these could be good or evil, and the diamondis took control of the nations. So each nation had its own dimon, its own sponsor, as it were. You can also call that the h gregorio or the grigory grigory, right, that's what they call the manifest of the energies that

are in a Masonic lodge is a grigory. Grigory they're talking about the that who is attracted to their you know, it's like a certain type of sense or feeling. It's an archetype that is created. It's basically who showed up when you were doing your conjuring in a sense. But each each lodge has its own like grigor because of the type of people that are there and what

energies they attract. So in a sense, it's like that, it's like a grigory sort of much more like a I was gonna say, mascot but much more than that, that the diamon is the leading force and protector of that nation. And we see this idea back in Deuteronomy, where you know that that all the seventy nations of the world, I don't call it Deuteronomy, I call it dude, doonto meld are given seventy different angels to be their manager. But the angel given to Israel is Yahweh himself, and later

the angel given to Israel is depicted as Michael. That's in the Book of Daniel. But anyway, this idea of angelic rulers of the nations were dimonic rulers of the nations. This is a fundamental idea. And they have this because you know, when you went to different regions of the world, different cities or city states would worship different deities. So Athens obviously has Athena as their diamonic protectress, and other city states will have have different different gods in

charge. Obviously in Egypt there's Isis and Osiris, and in Rome there is the Olympian Zeus or the Capituline Zeus, and you know, you could go anywhere. And the way that Christians kind of thought of this is that the gods of the nations. They are real, but they represent these middle management level of deity, and not all of them are good. In fact, as Christians later concluded, none of them are good. Now with this basic idea, some Christians who you know, we're not Jewish by linear or by

practice. That is the Okay, see what you're looking at right there, that's a ticken. That is the black cube on the temple or I'm sorry, on the forehead wrapped there's a specific package either it'll be wrapped and blah blah blah blah blah. There's a piece of the Torah in this black cube. But the black cube represents Saturn. You can't get away from that. And if you go to the Ka'bah or the black Cube of Mecca, once again, you're looking at something that predated Islam, and it's a giant black

cube, the black cube of Saturn. Chronos right time is Saturn, as Cronus is Satan. Right they didn't practice circumcision or cash roots or or any of the the other purity law. Did he really have that on as his backscreen that looks like the front screen of the phone or is it's just just playing didn't hear, so that in case he didn't already recognize this as being Israel, now you have this big, huge star here, Isn't that It's

kind of silly. They viewed the God of Judea, that is, the nation of Judea, the nation of the Jews, in much the same way as they would have viewed the gods of Athens, or of Rome, or

of Alexandria or what have you. That is, as a middle management being, and this particular middle management being by the name of Yahweh or as the Greeks said it, yah oh. This god had that same ambiguity, because when you learn about this god, it looks very different than the playton are good, right, the playton a good doesn't change and is unambiguously good and

only does benefits for people. Plato says he can't be jealous. He cannot be jealous thing in the Old Testament that he says, I'm the jealous God. So the famous line of Plato and from the Phatrius is there there is no jealousy in the divine choir. That is, no god, if it is a god, can be jealous, because the idea of a jealous God simply does not make logical and philosophical sense, because God needs nothing therefore has

no desire for anything else. If jealousy then is the desire for someone else's property or characteristic, then you know q D. God cannot be jealous. Otherwise, if you say that God is jealous, you implicitly say that he needs something. But then, so that's ball that we're looking at. Right there another depiction of ball, and I I'm sorry, I made a mistake. I double checked it. It's the to fill in or tefholin are the boxes made of black leather and contained scrolls and are worn in pairs, one

on the head and one on the arm. So there you have it. It's a it sounds like teflon. It's like to fill in, all right, So I made a mistake. And it's two small other boxes contained verses from the first books of the Bible. Boxes are attached to leather straps, one tied to the arm, the other place on the forehead, worn as a reminder of God and to follow Jewish law daily, removed at conclusion of morning prayer services. Yeah, that isn't God. That would be a lower

middle management level of people. And that's mithra in color the gin with the Phrygian cap interesting enough, who is jealous of the other nations and the other gods leading the other nations? You know, because when you think about it, Juday is a very small nation. It always has been. In Israel today, I mean it's not quite the size of New Jersey. I mean it's a very small place. So you can you can imagine a situation where

the angels are competing with each other. And we see that again in the book Continue where the archangel Michael, who's who prince Prince of Israel is fighting with the Prince of Persia. Well, who's the prince of Persia? Well, it's the angel in charge of Persia. They're jealous and they have wars

and fights. And when there's wars and fights today, like between Ukraine and Russia the ancients, he says something really stupid and douchey here, not understanding NATO, not understanding the aggression and the constant agitation of the EU, the UN and our government involved here, and then he just says something really fucking stupid. But we'll just let it as long as you know that it's coming. Would think of this as the Angel of Russia versus the angel of Ukraine,

and one angel is quite bigger and more arrogant than the other. That's the asshole comment I'm talking about. Not to mention the fact that the Bolsheviks split that nation and changed the language so that they would not be so strong anymore. They just they are the ones, and it's a completely artificial construct.

They are Russian. They are Russian, plain and simple, and when they attested to that fact and voted in that manner, all hell broke loose starting in twenty fourteen, because they wanted to be part of Russia again. They wanted to be part of their back with their brothers. The same shit that happened with Germany when they were splitting it up after the Rasai Treaty,

very similar to that. And once again who was involved in who was screwing up with everything and messing around to make it so that you have people who wanted to be and identified with and had a long history inherited as one identity now being stuck in a different country that hates them and wants to pick on the other the nations you get power, So these issues are are sort of your your your bread and butter kind of philosophical interpretation of of how to how

to envision the world. From a philosophical perspective, you view the gods as true beings but on a middle management level, and the true God, who is the singular God, is outside of this world, above the gods, above the middle middle management level of the other being beings called gods, and that God is perfectly good, unchanging, unjealous, unharmed by evil, not

needing anything, et cetera, et cetera. So this is the intellectual presentation of This is how an intellectual in the in the ancient world, say in the second century, would would voice things. And so Marsian, who's one of these intellectuals, and you know, we can we can include with with Marcian the so called Sethians or the seed of Seth, And we can include

the Paratics, we can include several other other groups. They have this platonic idea of God, and then they read the Old Testament and or what Christians

today called the Old Testament, we'll just call it the Situagen. When they read that document, they realize that the God in that document it doesn't match the description of the good because this God, it gets jealous of Adam and Eve in the garden, kicks them out, tries to prevent them from getting knowledge, create creates a situation where it's almost impossible for them to win.

So in that respect, has introduces a large number of design flaws, is arbitrary in his rules, and when people don't obey his rules, he attempts to annihilate them in the flood. And you know, when the city of Sodom and Gomorrah gets a little bit dirty, he'll firebombit. Send a nuclear bomb by the hand of an angel, blasted into Smithereens along with five other cities, or as the story goes that, you know, the smoke still

rises in the Dead Sea region. These cities have were wiped off the map simply because Yeah, I couldn't find anyone who worshiped him in those cities. And this image of God, you know, is the god who sends wild she bears against young children. Yeah, forty of them to tear children apart, right, or was it forty children that were torn apart? Either way, all because Elijah was bald and the kids were teasing them, So that was a good enough excuse for God to tear them apart with bears. Yeah,

that's the Old Testament, that's what it is. And if it's not symbolic, and if it's not, and people were going to say, no, this is all literal stuff, well then you just told yourself and told me and told everybody else, and should be you should be also understanding that now you're not talking about a very good deity anymore. If that's the case.

Otherwise, otherwise there's a different interpretation for this. And this is all jamatria, and these words that they're using have a different value and meaning. So they're using certain words, but there's a cryptic explanation to the story and a whole different message beneath it that people refuse, some of them to acknowledge even exists. Look, this bear's got a child right in their mouth. It's like to eat them up because they make fun of Elisha, because Elisha

is bald. This is the kind of God that that we're dealing with. It's the god who kind of plays with Israel a bit like a bit like a yo yo. You know. It's like pulling them back and pushing them, you know, sending them in the exile, promising to bring them back if they're good. But of course they have to obey his regime of rules.

Uh, and then you know, if they don't obey, keeps threatening them and threatening them, threatening them, and basically then yeah, that's all hell run loose and sends the Assyrians and the Babylonians and it's like a game of cat and mouse. It's a very intolerant god, a very arbitrary god, somewhat unpredictable, emotional and yeah, you can you can see this.

I mean even even you know, Jack Miles has a book called you Know the God, a Biography, and you can see this that you know, people without the kind of faith commitments are still willing to say that, yeah, this is a highly arbitrary and dangerous individual that we call Yahweh. And so that falls far short of any description of any kind of universal, universal, and absolutely good God. So they must not be the same character.

And that's the fundamental deduction, right. And it's also for a Platonist, it's not a surprising thing because in the Platonism you're expecting the structure of reality to be you have God on top, and God is one, and you know, you can call yourself a believer in one God, but of course then you believe in a creator who's the middle manager. And that structure of

belief was very common. It's less common today because obviously in orthodox theology they've so insisted that those two beings are the same, right, but that wasn't the dominant model and antiquity, so that's really important to remember. Wow, that's very fascinating. And then so so this guy, this uh, this host I have a hard time listening to because I don't think he really knows his topics very about this guy in the right. So he called it a

step two agit he who cares? What if he called it this knock? It's the same thing. The book itself is not wonderful, and that's the that's the whole point there was core of the stories don't change, and unfortunately they don't change because they're very uh indicative of something that most people don't want to recognize or like you mentioned, these these these different sects of Christianity who sort of share this this platonic belief in this perfect creator and then middle beings

and yahweh being one of them. That explains that very well. So I guess instead of getting into who Marcion was and what I think, that's I think we understand that Marcion sort of promoted some of these similar ideas. But I really want to touch on this idea of Yahweh possibly being tied to the Egyptian god set because the reason I know it's something I'm going on a whole other topic. But you tie this together very nicely in your book The Evil

Creator. By the way, I have a link for that in the description. So I want and I think there's a good connection to be made here because we have some sources. If I'm not mistaken, Yeah, definitely. Well, as with every other nation you have, you have gods who are in charge, and in Egypt, the situation is usually the gods in charge are the beneficent gods Isis and Osirius. But the Egyptians also recognized that there was a god of foreigners in their midst and a god of evil associated with

god of foreigners. See this is where it gets important, because who were these people from the other side of the river and in blood, in the dryness of the desert, the desert mountains and storms, and that's the god they called Seth, which if you have no home and you're constantly roaming and parasitically attaching yourself to other nations that have built themselves, then you always are the foreigner, and you would be classified as being of the God of the
