Episode description

Ayọ (which simply means "Joy" in the Yoruba language) is a multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter. Born in Cologne and now living in Brooklyn, she is also a producer, actress and a mother of three. The formerly weird little girl with kinky hair, a chipped tooth and a funny smile is now a double platinum artist. After deciding to leave her old record label Universal France after 10 years to sign a new license deal with Believe records, she is hopeful that her fans will get a chance to listen her music and that it will touch everyone's heart and soul. Ayọ joins host Queen GodIs in studio on this episode of the B-Side Podcast. •••• The B-Side Podcast is produced by Charlie Hoxie, Kecia Cole, Ro Johnson and Sachar Mathias; recorded by Onel Mulet and Steve de Seve; and edited by Emily Boghossian and Khyriel Palmer.
