What is the ideal turn around time in the creative industry for freelancers? In the beginning of my photography career I used to want to do everything myself when it came to client bookings. Fast forward a few years later with much more experience I now take an assistant with me to ease the load of planning a photoshoot, carrying equipment, setting up, shooting, editing and retouching. Taking an assistant with me to photoshoots has improved my turn around time from 2 days to 24hrs, I am now able to focus on what I am really good at and delegate other tasks to the assistant. No one cares about event photos 2 days later, in the age of smartphones with great cameras it is now easier to take a photo, edit it and post it all from your phone. Is that a threat to you and have you adjusted your turn around time to suit this? How do you feel about 24hrs as a turn around time? #BRollConversations
