Today we speak with Marion Kaiser from MJHS who is a Creative Arts Therapist. She works with people who have memory challenges. She uses music to connect to dementia patients. Music can be a tool that takes them to a familiar and pleasant place. It can be used to calm them when they get frustrated or overwhelmed. If can spark their language sensors and allow them to express themselves through song. Music can also give a caregiver a way to engage their love one .
