Episode description

Life is made up of so many different aspects. Death is one of them. I know we would like to avoid this reality but it will happen eventually , so why not talk about it.  More important , let's prepare for the ultimate.   Family planning includes preparing for your last days. This is so important in keeping peace among the family. It is important to understand the wishes of the person who is ill and also to understand how hard it may be on your love ones.  Sometimes we may need help to get to a comfortable place with death. This is where a Doula can be of service.   Adriene Jenik,  adriene.jenik@gmail.com, speaks to us on how she became a Doula and the help that it offers. A Doula can explain about elements that you may encounter during the end of life. They can comfort an ailing patient, assist a family in preparing for their love one's death or just be present with you as you're approaching your last days.   There may be various approaches to this but today, we get a good look into the services that a Doula can offer.  Have a say in how you want to live out your last days.  Autumn is Here Episode 40.  #endalz #doulas #socialservices #futureplanning #aarp #enddays #doctors #nurses #hospicecare #aging #agingparents #caregiver #family #modernmedicine #alzheimer #dementia #palliativecare @mjhs
