Accepting Your Autumn

This week we speak with Georgette Douglas Henry who, in the mist of her busy life,  finds out that her mother's cancer has returned. Though she had help, it was still a painful reality that the inevitable was coming and there was nothing she could do to change it. However, within the midst of the struggles and challenges of her mom and dads illnesses, she found ways of acceptance .  Her journey was a roller coster of emotions. Respectfully crossing boundaries to help her mom, rehashing the what if's and the would haves, and adapting to this different way of life, all was apart of her journey. Though her parents had their business and the financial dealings in order, it didn't protect her and her sister from the emotions and the pain of losing them. Still she smiles as she reminisces and shares her personal story.
