Humility is the core theme of Philippians chapter two, in this episode we comb through the ideas and make it as practical.
Philippians is a small book that is dense with insight. Paul wrote it while imprisoned and that adds a very interesting layer of meaning. This is part one of our exploration. Grab a seat and enjoy the convo,
There are examples of re-baptism in the Bible, but we often don't explore when it is appropriate or what it means. In this episode we unpack what the bible says and share our own experiences.

Is it possible to lie for the right reasons? We often focus on the moral imperative of honesty (and rightly so), especially in this age of scammers and dishonest practices, but in this episode we look at the grey areas of honesty in practice, white lies, lying to protect others and even God-sanctioned half-truths.

While we were recording our mental health series with Dr Dan, we asked what resources he would recommend to get the most out of our brains for the longest possible time. He recommended this book. The Brain Warrior's Way by Daniel G. Amen M.D. and Tana Amen BSN RN. so we thought it would be a fitting way to cap off this series by leaving you with a book review. We hope you enjoy! Elijah is one of the most notable characters in the Old Testament his life is one of incredible highs and lows. in this episode we explore what might have been going on in his psychology that led him both to the place where he is wanting God to kill him but eventually being one of the few people to be translated into heaven without seeing death.
Pain and suffering is universal to the human experience but Job certainly experienced a highly distilled version of it. His response and that of his friends is fascinating from a psychological perspective. Join us as we explore it with our friend and favourite psychologist.... Dr Dan Banos!
Samson is a fascinating character. He is well known for liberating his people and being in possession of extreme strength, but in other ways he was so weak. What would a psychologist make of this complex man? Listen and find out 😁

With so much being written about the bible it can be difficult to know how to process what is written in a way that is both helpful and true to the text, what do we accept? what do we reject? That's what we explore in this episode.
In some christian subcultures Christmas can be a controversial topic. in this episode we come from very different sides of the fence looking for the approach that Jesus himself would take.
Is self-confidence a health thing to have in our lives or is it a destructive influence? Our view as Christians often is very different to what is taught in the world on self-confidence but is there truths found in both views?
The Kingdom of Heaven is like? The parables of Matthew 13 show an insight into what heaven is and the character of God. What is the kingdom of heaven worth? Are we willing to follow Jesus’s example and give up all for it? We also wish Orhue a Happy Birthday!

For most of the world evolution is the unquestioned narrative to explain the world around us, but is it really the best interpretation of the evidence? How often do we double down on a disagreement rather than to agreeing to disagree? Or even demonise someone rather than trying to see why they believe, what they do; to see the humanity behind the belief rather than just thinking I am right they are wrong, and they are a bad person because they don’t agree. Ultimately, we need to be showing love to whomever we are disagreeing with.
In this week’s episode we continue our Exodus 2.0 series, with the question of what issues drive the heart to pull away from church?
In this week’s episode we continue our Exodus 2.0 series, with the question what pressures do we face as Christians to leave the church from the outside?
In this week’s episode we start a new series called Exodus 2.0, why do young people leave the church? This is a topic that our church movement has struggled with and is a question many churches wrestle with. In part 1 we discuss issues that come from within the church which ultimately leads young people out the door.
It is hard to believe we are at episode #200 and as we pass that milestone we decided it was time for a change.
