Jesus calls us to tell the truth about Him in every area of life.
Jesus isn't just calling us to make disciples, He's calling us to make disciples together. In Colossians 4, we see how so many people found their place in the mission of God and we see God inviting us to find ours.
When the obstacle to faithfulness is confusion, Jesus is our clarity.
When we are distracted from Jesus, it is impossible to know, love, and follow him by his grace.
As we began a month of vision, we saw the call to know, love, and follow Jesus.
When following Jesus means conflict or a cross, He's still worthy.
When we pursue Jesus through His Word, He promises us life and joy forever.
Jesus leads us into danger and calls us to follow in fearless faith.
Jesus shows us the pattern set for, the posture and outlook of, the problem that necessitates, the power that fuels, and the promise of success in our mission.
The presence of Jesus is the power of God.
Our imperfect faith requires the perfect power of God.
The proper response to the power and compassion of Jesus is faith.
Spiritual disciplines are a subject we can easily get wrong. In our text this week Jesus shows us their purpose and direction through the example of fasting.
Jesus came for sinners and only sinners can come to Jesus.
In this week’s text we see that Jesus is in complete control over the supernatural. The question we have to ask ourselves is, how do we respond to the power of Jesus at work i our lives and other lives around us?
