In this bonus episode, Taylor calls up Josh (guitar) and Josh (drummer) via zoom to see how they have handled their COVID-19 timeline. Like everyone else in the music world, they had some hopeful things on the horizon like, recording with Ken Riley of Rio Grande Studios with Aaron Gillespie producing their album.
It was tough for the band to try and get in the studio. With COVID restrictions and delays with Underoath pre-production, Aaron wasn't readily available. But good news, it all worked out and the story has a nice twist. They explain their timeline of dealing with this and how they made it through.
While waiting and reworking some of their music, they talk about their writing process of quick phone calls and chats with riffs but also keeping in mind the challenge of going into the studio and not being fully attached to the music as well. They also talk about the overall vibe and well being of their area dealing with venues. if everything goes well, they will be on the stage Jan 2 at Come and Take It Live in Austin, TX. The guys wrap with how they shot their last music video. All the DIY!!!
