Episode description

Mics: they’re not all the same. The main difference is dynamic and condenser, with the former being older tech. Soundwaves move its diaphragm which moves a metal coil that bobs up and down to capture an AC current identical to a soundwave. They’re great for recording loud sounds, but can have a tough time picking up quieter sounds. Condenser mics are recommended for in-studio recording and they’re awesome for recording quieter, more complex sounds. Soundwaves hit the condenser diaphragm with vibrations converted into electric current. Sound good? Of course it does.
