Episode description

Embedded Clinical Pharmacists at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center’s clinics serve as members of an interdisciplinary team that confirm clinical appropriateness of specialty medications, ensure medication access, provide medication counseling and the specialty pharmacy complies with Utilization Review Accreditation Commission (URAC) regulations to maintain accreditation status. With the advent of COVID-19, these serves shifted to a telemedicine approach. In her 2020 Midyear Clinical Meeting presentation, Dr. Diane Kim shares her institution’s successes with transition and how her team demonstrated value to the specialty services.
