Episode description

Today's interview is with Dan Pierson, the founder of Bolt Collective.

Bolt is a new membership community of travelers pooling their money to access otherwise impossible travel experiences. They leverage group purchasing power to negotiate substantial discounts from lodging and activity vendors, bringing prohibitively expensive travel within financial reach of creative artists, social entrepreneurs, and freelancers. Or, anyone else looking for a good adventure.

Dan himself is the former Lyft Travel Partnerships Lead, the founder of Subway Sets, and is super dynamic. He's traveled so many places around the world, has gone on so many epic adventures and is very community-focused. We discuss:

  • His unconventional adventures
  • Why he thinks travel is so important today
  • Why he created Bolt Collective AND
  • What he has learned about business while being an entrepreneur.
